  Husbands company uses this hotel often. He raves about Chris and Patty! They always welcome them with a smile and make sure they are well fed before work.

  My teenage friends and I had saved up our own money to stay at Candlewood Suites for two nights (February 13th and 14th). Some classmates from our school were staying at Staybridge Suites, and since their hotel offered breakfast and ours didn’t, we agreed to briefly meet up with them there in the morning. As soon as we walked into the lobby, a staff member immediately began bombarding us with questions like, “Why are you here?” and “What room number are you in?” We politely explained that we were meeting friends who were guests at the hotel. Instead of calmly explaining the policy, she became hostile and told us we couldn’t be there. She then began locking the lobby doors and threatened to call the police on us. While we were in the process of leaving, she started taking pictures of me and my friends. I confronted her respectfully and asked if she had taken photos of us. She denied it, even though it was clear what she was doing. Her tone throughout the interaction was very disrespectful and unnecessary. As we were walking away, another staff member came out and stood at the door staring at us in a rude and uncomfortable way. We didn’t engage and simply went back to our hotel. When we returned to Candlewood Suites, the staff member there mentioned that she had received complaints from other hotels. We explained the situation, and unlike the experience at Staybridge, she was understanding, calm, and helpful. We understand that hotels have policies about non-guests, but the way we were treated was unprofessional and unnecessarily aggressive. A simple explanation of the rules would have been enough. Instead, the situation was escalated in a way that felt uncomfortable and disrespectful. Bottom line unprofessional behavior from adults

  Hotel is overall...fine? Pros: Suite - tons of space and a kitchen Staff were all friendly and great. Got a freebie baggie with some mints, chocolate, granola bar, earplugs, small water bottle, and a coupon to a local restaurant for being an IHG member. Mids: Complimentary evening food isn't exactly good, but it's also complimentary so. Complimentary juice dispenser machine didn't work the one time I tried it, but the soda did at least. Got some minute maid lemonade that tasted a bit off, but it was fine and free. Cons: The room LOOKS good/clean at a glance, but once I put my jacket and hoodie on the couch, it was completely covered in what I presume to be pet hair. Luckily, I packed a lint roller with me. I'm also mildly allergic to pet dander so while I was in the room, I had a mild cough and had to occasionally blow my nose. The bed also had like 2 random stray hairs on it next to the pillow. My room was also on the side facing the highway. You can hear the passing vehicles, but they sound off in the distance and not a big deal for me personally. If anything, the room AC was about as loud if not a tiny bit more.
