  I loved almost everything about this property: * We were greeted by wonderful friendly staff * Room was spotlessly clean, very light and airy, with super comfy beds. It was also a great environment to work in thanks to great WiFi and lots of power sockets * Breakfast had a good selection and - rare for budget properties in the US - fresh fruit and good quality coffee * Foosball tables, social, and work spaces in the lobby gave lots of options * The self-service beer taps were super - I loved the concept and even better they had local beers to try 🍻♥️ The only issue was a front desk agent, Aaron. My goodness was he unfriendly - much more interested in sitting listening to music than helping anyone. His sighs and grimaces whenever anyone asked for help were really off-putting. However, everyone else was excellent so it was disappointing but not a deal-breaker. Thank you for your hospitality.

  Excellent customer service ! Jun was very kind when I checked in and checked out and pointed us to restaurants to eat at, and tourist attractions!

  Wonderful location for our work event at Union campus this week. We were shown exceptional hospitality upon welcome and throughout our stay, especially from Jun at the front desk. Far exceeding expectations from a chain. Develop this man into a manager! The two gentlemen manning the breakfast station in the morning were also very accommodating and friendly. Made our stay easy.

  Tru hotel downtown Indianapolis is hands down the best hotel I have stayed at. Jun at the front counter was very professional and helpful, he also great with informing guest of the best locations to eat, drink and visit. Whenever I come Indianapolis this is where I will be staying! I recommend this place to everyone.

  One plus right away: we didn’t pay to park. There was street parking available nearby if you don’t mind a short walk, which worked out fine for us, I just couldn't see paying $30 when street parking is an option. The location is technically walkable, but it’s not the best area overall. It feels pretty industrial and there aren’t many food options close by unless you’re willing to walk about 10 minutes or more. My only real complaint was housekeeping. The pillows had fuzzies all over them, and the fridge still had food left behind from the previous guests, which was a bit off-putting. Breakfast was pretty mid—nothing surprising there, about what you’d expect from a Tru by Hilton. On the positive side, the staff were excellent. Everyone was super friendly and always acknowledged us when we walked by or came in, which made the stay feel welcoming. Overall, decent for a short stay or event weekend, but housekeeping and the surrounding area could use improvement.
