Its interesting reading the other reviews about the service from this hotel. In part, because the hotel also knew I was staying there for a birthday trip and nobody acknowledged that in any way or offered an upgraded room for me. They seemed to prioritize groups of people. Nobody at the hotel front door helped me open the door or helped me with my stuff. Someone did hold the elevator for me though which was helpful. The valet was nice and got the door when I came back that night from dinner though. Aleah at the front desk was very kind and answered some questions later that evening that I had. My room was fine for the price though there was just a random razor blade cartridge in front of the front door. The bathtub also had quite a bit of pink mold around it that prevented me from using it. The sink as well had mold underneath the rim. I did like that once you went up to the room floors it was quaint and cozy. There was some noise from the street (I think) where it seemed like a truck was idling and BLARING music so loud that i couldn't believe anyone could sleep through it. If you are special somehow (through rewards and such) they probably will treat you nicely, however if you're just a regular person splurging then it could be quite lackluster and maybe even better at holiday inn.
Went to enjoy Astera and it was closed for a private event. The host & manager tonight 02/20 were very discourteous and rude to me. We ended up enjoying food on the 2nd floor, but should’ve left the establishment. The valet/door staff were lovely though.

I had an excellent 5-night experience at this hotel. From the front desk, to the valet, and the housekeepers, everything was phenomenal. All staff were friendly. The valet team were timely when I requested my vehicle. Every day that I came back to my room after being away for work, my room was spotless. I’ll be traveling to Indianapolis quite a lot for work and I’ll be sure to stay here every time.

My son and I recently stayed at the magnificent InterContinental Indianapolis, and words truly cannot express how incredible our experience was. The personalized, elevated service began even before we set foot on the property.
We were especially impressed by Mr. Quinton Oliver, Lead Concierge, who reached out prior to our arrival to ensure every detail of our stay would be seamless and memorable. From the moment we stepped into the beautiful lobby, Mr. Oliver was there to warmly welcome us with complimentary versions of our favorite drinks — a thoughtful touch he had noted in advance. The front desk staff was equally friendly and made our check-in smooth and effortless.
Because Mr. Oliver knew we were celebrating my birthday, we were surprised with an upgrade to one of the hotel’s finest suites. Our eyes lit up as we walked through the stunning space — we could hardly contain our excitement. Waiting for us inside was a beautiful handwritten note from Mr. Oliver along with an assortment of our favorite beverages, which made the welcome even more special.
We also enjoyed dining at the hotel’s onsite restaurant, where the staff was attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. The state-of-the-art gym was another highlight and a huge plus for me.
As a frequent traveler who often stays at luxury hotels, I can confidently say this was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Thank you, InterContinental Indianapolis, for an unforgettable stay!

DO NOT STAY HERE
We booked 3 rooms one of which was the penthouse for 2 nights each, totaling thousands of dollars, and let me tell you this place is a SCAM!!! We booked this for 2 nights for our wedding (night before and night of) and I would've rather stayed home.
To start, valet was incredibly rude to myself and father, not a big deal I can be sensitive sometimes. But then as all my vendors showed up at the hotel for the day of, the makeup artist/photographer/hair dresser, one of the first things they all said was how rude valet was to each and every one of them. Including my husband when he also valeted his car, mind you we booked the penthouse?!? Not a great start.
Then we come back to the hotel the day of our wedding, the pipe in the bathroom burst, which flooded the entire bathroom making it unusable and ruining multiple items I needed to bring on our honeymoon. Did anyone ever come to shut off the water and prevent flooding?? Nope! My husband knew how so our room, THE PENTHOUSE, and all floors below wouldn't have massive flood damage. The front office said they were over trying to get a hold of maintenence and suggested thar we just 'let it flood' Also multiple bathroom fittings in our rooms and guest rooms just came off of the hinges like the shower and sink handle. Paying thousands for the penthouse suite alone, to not even be able to use the shower for 1 of the 2 days is INSANE.
I hope you don't plan on any room service, it'll take them hours to come collect everything after you let them know you're done.
MANY of the chargers in our and our guests rooms didn't even work, we had to hunt for wall ports that had electricity working so we could charge things we needed. Super embarrassing for my hair dresser trying to blow dry my hair for the day of my wedding, having to hunt down an outlet that actually had electricity working.
One of my guests actually checked out early and didn't even stay for the 2nd night since he had all the same issues we had in our room.
Emailed complaining about the condition of everything and how our wedding night was pretty much ruined by the state of this bogus 'upscale' hotel and stated we'd have some things comped. We only ended up having our valet comped, never saw a dime back from anything else despite the email we received stating otherwise.
Thank you InterContinental Indy for ruining my wedding night.
