  Hear me out, we were a little disappointed when we went down for breakfast because the hotel was full of young adult men baseball players and wrestlers so there was no food available and the kitchen area was a complete mess so we decided we’d have to get food after we check out. When we back down an hour later the staff had the complete mess cleaned up like it never happened and had a full kitchen of fresh hot food. They even stayed open longer to allow others time to eat. I thought that was exceptional service. The room was very clean, the mattress and all pillows are in zip up protection, and the room is very good size. The water is nice and hot too (I mention that because we’ve been to so many hotels that it’s not). The staff is very cordial and helpful. Also a good price and close to the highway.

  We like Holiday Inn Express, but we are discovering that many are aging & no longer deserve a 3-star rating overall for the price point. IHG is being ripped off by contractors who perform poor, incomplete renovations. Also, our room needed closer inspection/oversight of details like a fully working clock & sagging bed mattress. See pictures. Breakfast area was clean & well-stocked. A good, hearty breakfast. Welcoming host was great & appreciated our IHG membership with welcome gift bag. We stayed in a Hilton Spark the previous night for much cheaper & better care-taking.

  "all these reviews are bots!!" Some of yall are delusional. This was a fantastic stay for a budget hotel. My husband and I stayed one night with our two dogs and had a wonderful stay. There is a pet fee but it is reasonable! The receptionist was lovely and kind! The room was clean, it looked like they were renovating or just finished because there were some newer looking features like the tub tap but the tub itself was a little chipped on the edge. Other than that we had a wonderful stay and will likely choose this hotel again when we're traveling that way!

  Staff was very friendly. Unfortunately that doesn’t make up for a bedbug crawling across your pillow towards your face just as you’re closing your eyes to go to sleep. I leap out of bed, tell my distraught wife to do the same and would you look at that, a large stink bug was hanging out in the bed as well. Unreal. Looked like the bedbug had a meal fairly recently too, donated by whoever had the misfortune of staying there before us. For the record, the room was already giving off red flags in terms of cleanliness and maintenance (cracked bathroom tiles, stained couch) but multiple species of pests in the bed? Never seen anything like it. Bagged the bugs & took them to the front desk, who apologized & offered a new room. I asked for a refund instead & moved my family out through the snow at 1:30am to the Hilton across the street, where I’m currently writing this review, skin still crawling.
