    No restaurants near this hotel. All good restaurants are 15 minute walk. Downtown Indy has little free parking and it is bit worth trying to drive from a hotel that charges an outrageous amount to park daily. That is the biggest detractor from this property.

    I had a hard time getting my 10lb dog to the potty area because there was about 2 feet of snow. I asked the front desk if they could clean it and they answered me that the $75 I paid for my dog didn't include to shovel the snow in the potty area. I had to shovel the snow myself to have my dog be able to potty. In my opinion, if you claim that your property is pet friendly, you should have an area for the dog to go potty.

    Bait and switch-esque We traveled overnight for a hospital visit and chose this location because it seemed nice and affordable with a convenient location. Our experience has left a bad taste for the Hampton brand and I won't stay here again. 1. Parking fee $42 not disclosed until you arrive at the property. The person in front of us at the check in was there for a corporate event and her parking fee was waived, ours was not. I certainly don't expect free parking everywhere in downtown Indy, but $42 is unfair and increases the total cost of the stay beyond what is a competitive price and it's too late to change your booking when it's 11pm and you're standing at the check in desk. 2. Guest services advised they unexpectedly had a problem with room keys not working...it seems this was not unexpected after reading reviews from the past several months it appears many other guests experienced this as well. 3. The way the room was advertised is shameful and untrue. The furniture and fixtures in the room are the same you find at a cheap motel. The flooring in our room was poorly cut and installed with gaps between the floor and baseboards. Several areas of flooring in the middle of the room were ripped and so damaged you could see concrete underneath. I would not stay at this hotel again - I was duped by the advertised cost of the room into thinking it was both nice and affordable. That ended up being untrue in both regards. The room was not nice, and there are plenty of other nicer hotels in the area if you're going to spend $200 (the cost after room fee and parking). After lodging a complaint about the parking fee with booking.com, the website has disabled the link to leave a review for this hotel from my booking.com account. The response from customer service was, 'We said there is on site parking. We didn't say it was free.'
