Here visiting for the Big ten championships I liked the style of the building it reminded me of hotels I stayed in when I was younger.
The highlight of my stay was the hospitality of the entire staff specifically a kitchen worker named Rhoda. Every morning when my family and I came to breakfast I felt like I was sitting down to eat at my mom's house. It was very familial and heartwarming, being the oldest daughter who misses those moments so dear. Breakfast was decent and better than most. Room was large.
The things I didn't care so much for;
Only two elevators were working and they are exceptionally slow. The pool was nice but we noticed a drain pipe attached to the room above was leaking shower water into the pool which I brought up to front desk and they said they would have maintenance look at it but to me that is unsanitary. The bathroom is incredibly small and poorly ventilated, tubs and sinks drain very slow. I noticed a lot of cover up spray on the mold rather than repairs. The fold-out couch didn't fold back up and my husband gashed his leg open trying to get it to fold back in. Given the events that will held here I assume the prices were marked up accordingly but given the condition of the amenities I felt like the price point was too high. I feel like this property has a lot of potential as I build Hilton hotels and this one is unique but proper upkeep needs to be addressed and maintained. My stay here was okay but the hospitality is really the only reason I gave it a four-star because the staff was absolutely wonderful.

I stayed for 2 weeks for business. I had to ask multiple times for my room to be refreshed as the cleaning service never showed up. I have several pictures of different bugs that were in my room. There were plumbing issue throughout my stay including a day without water at all. One event I had a maintenance tech just access my room without knocking. He said he was wanted to find the source of the water issues. This was 11:00 PM. I was in no position to have visitors and explained to him that he should have knocked. He said he needed to see the bathroom. I dined downstairs a couple of times and it took forever to get service. The last time I went to eat down there I had business partners with me and we couldn't get the service to take our order so we ended up just leaving. I then decided that I would use room service so I didn't have to wait downstairs. The last 2 days I decided to use the service, I texted the room service number without response. I didn't receive meals either of those 2 times. I also tried to use the snacks that were available from 5-6:30. Two of the four times I went, a handful of unsupervised kids were soaking wet from the pool and grabbing food with there bare hands. This was a terrible visit and definitely a rememberable one. Due to this experience, was forced to remove this hotel from our local hotels list for employees and clients. The is not the experience that I expected from a Hilton hotel. I would however expect this level of service from a lesser hotel or motel. I expressed my concerns several times with no action. The only thing I was told was thanks for letting us know. I just get the same poor, no action response from quest services.

Very disappointed. I will say first, I did reach out to the hotel and left this review with them privately and no action was taken. The hotel is nice but there were many issues. I did not receive my Hilton Honors at check in, the pool was closed but we were not informed via email or at check in of this issue. Should we have known we would have booked a different Hilton. Our door to room did NOT lock, I asked about this a few times with no action. Our living room TV also did NOT work, again no action. Lastly the elevators were terrifying. My husband and daughter got stuck in them multiple times. Out of 4, one worked.

Front desk staff was kind and helpful. Room layout was great for families but unfortunately not comfortable. The air was stagnant and too warm but unavoidable according to a note that is posted next to the thermostat. The pool would have been nice had the crowd not been allowed to act dangerously. Actual fist fighting among teenagers was happening in the pool while small children were present. I had to pull my own kids away from others and leave. Security was present and notified but at that point it had become a miserable experience already. Very disappointing since we booked this hotel specifically for the pool. The room was fine but not clean. Stained towels in the bathrooms and a clear water leak from the exterior door. The elevators were scarily slow. We genuinely thought we were stuck on it but alas the doors always eventually opened after some time. I have stayed at many Hilton locations and have never been so disappointed.

The room was clean overall, although our comforter was obviously stained and so we removed that immediately. The real concerns were the lack of attention to the hundred plus kids running around with no shirt or shoes, even in the restaurant. We observed two groups of 10+ young kids piling into the rooms near ours. We saw one adult. These same kids were running all over using the elevators so to get from the 7th floor down or back up took us 15 minutes or more. We reported the pool being disgusting and diapers were scattered, trash, etc. and the hotel staff said yah, its always like this. There was 40 plus kids in the pool when we counted, and we saw one adult. Kids were screaming all over the place. We decided to wait until 10 to go for the adult hour from 10p-12a but the pool was hideous. It was unfit for swimming. It was dirty, cloudy beyond words, and had floating debris, and the entire area was trashed. Again we spoke with the front desk and they rolled their eyes. I told them it should be closed and shocked and filtered. Furthermore, the managers reception was chaotic with kids handling the snacks put out and just not hygienic. This should be placed in full view and monitored by staff for health and safety reasons. The bartender was fabulous but two would have been nice fir her sake. This was not the Embassy or Hilton experience whatsoever. Your website says no birthday parties allowed and yet we counted 3 groups with dozens of kids celebrating with cake/cupcakes and again, piling into one room only. I know this is not only a safety issue but management needs to do something and quick before a major liability happens. The staff continually said things like oh this is how it always is on weekends. I'm sorry but we expect some follow-up as no matter what our concerns were and we did our part in reporting them, they were brushed off as this is apparently the norm. The breakfast was OK although again, no control over the kids and they were often running through the restaurant with no shoes or shirts even. For the Hilton brand, and the Embassy brand, this hotel needs serious remediation. Public health would have closed that pool immediately. Sad as we booked this hotel for the pool and never got to use it.
A shout out to the man trying to fix.the elevators (yes, two were not working) as he was very pleasant, and the bar tender too who was also pleasant.
