- JGJim GreyNov 7, 20255.0Normally I stay in Hilton properties to gain points, but the ratings for the one in Goshen were not better than this much less expensive Best Western. So I decided to try it. I had a great experience here. Checkin was fast and efficient. The lobby was in good condition and pleasantly lit. The room was comfortable, smelled good, clean, and in good condition. The bed was very firm and I was worried about that at first, but I slept fine in it. Six square pillows were arrayed on it and I was able to combine two of them for just the right pillow density for me. The sheets were quite soft -- like sheets all used to be regardless of thread count. In the morning, there was plenty of hot water in the shower. Pressure was adequate. I could rinse out my hair -- I've stayed in $300+/night hotel rooms where the pressure wasn't adequate for that. The room was well stocked with towels. There was a hair dryer, iron, and full-sized ironing board. Continental breakfast was offered, but I'm an eggs-and-toast guy so I skipped it. This is the kind of experience I used to get at budget-friendly hotels 30 and 40 years ago, but has fallen way, way off to the point where I almost never consider such places anymore. I'm glad I did this time. This Best Western is a standout.

The bathroom floor was a little dirty but not the worst I’ve ever seen. LOVED the mini fridge!!! Why can’t every hotel have a split mini fridge with a freezer portion??? I was able to refreeze my ice pack - yay! I really appreciated the note saying his dad built the hotel and now his son owns it. Everyone was nice. The breakfast, for being economical, fit the ticket. No complaints there. Would stay again.

So bad we refused to stay even though we were denied a refund by the manager. I'd rather pay just to not stay there!!! Remember, you'll take those bedbugs home with you🤢 The positive reviews are an absolute fake sham.
