- JBJanet BOct 16, 20253.0We would have been happy with the hotel, however on our arrival our handicap accessible with roll- in shower room had been reassigned to someone else by the hotel manager. Instead we had an accessible room with a bathtub. For someone who must use a wheelchair, a roll in shower is a necessity. The manager admitted that the reservation had been made correctly but she reassigned it. The manager said she was going to call area hotels to see if one was available. We waited about 1/2 hour, we were tired after a long drive. So we took the accessible room with a tub. The evening front desk people attempted everything they could do. Gracie in particular went out of her way to find a shower chair. Not the best for our needs but we made the best of it. Gracie checked in on us several times and was most gracious in a less than desirable situation. We were told after we were in our room that, because it was the hotel's error on reassigning our room, they were going to refund the room but had to send it back thru Expedia. (That is another story because we did not want to use any third party reservation system when making our reservations). Now we have received notice from the 3rd party that the hotel has denied they are refunding.

- DMDan MorrisOct 4, 20254.0It is disconcerting to arrive at a reserved motel and view a large "For Sale" sign in front of the property. Such was the case here. Despite the potential forthcoming real estate transaction, it was still a decent night. The room was fine but showed some age and was missing a chair (there was a light and a place for one, but the only seat was the desk chair). Plus, our room had to be downgraded due to not having one clean on arrival. The parking lot is fairly cramped--difficult to drive through when a vehicle is loading/unloading at the front entrance. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was basic. Overall, it was a little below the usual HI Express standard.
