Absolutely the worst hotel stay of my adult life. We were required to book here due to a tournament organized by Hockey Time Productions, which contracted hotels over 30 minutes away from our games in Elkhart. That inconvenience alone was frustrating — but the condition and management of this property made it exponentially worse. From the moment we arrived, the tone was hostile. The manager aggressively accused families of “not supervising their children” and threatened to withhold deposits. At one point, he even scolded our kids for playing in the snow outside the hotel — not near vehicles, not damaging property, not bothering anyone. Just kids playing in snow. The irony? There was an abandoned shopping cart sitting on the premises along with scattered belongings that clearly looked like they were left behind by homeless individuals. Apparently harmless children are the priority issue — not the condition of the property itself. Our room? My son found centipedes in the bathroom within minutes of unpacking. The lampshades had stains so questionable they made us genuinely uncomfortable. The property sits directly behind a gas station with zero visible security, so you can add “worrying about your vehicle” to the list of amenities. And it wasn’t just our room. One of our team’s rooms had a bathtub that would not drain — water was literally up to their calves while showering. That is not a minor inconvenience. That is a basic plumbing failure. Cleanliness clearly is not a priority here. In another room, the bathroom mirror had not even been properly wiped down — it still had an explicit phrase written across it in cursive finger streaks from a previous guest. That means the mirror wasn’t cleaned at all before new guests checked in. There is no excuse for that level of negligence. Now let’s talk about the laundry situation. The front desk assured me they had working washer and dryer units and could make change. Washer worked. Dryer absolutely did not. It spins. It makes noise. It does not dry. There is no signage indicating it’s broken — because apparently pretending it works is the strategy. When I brought this up, the staff looked at me like I was speaking another language and offered zero solution. No refund. No access to their in-house machines. Nothing. Instead, I hauled 60+ pounds of soaking wet laundry to a laundromat three miles away, spending an additional $20 just to dry one load of clothes (plus the $2.50 I already wasted on their broken dryer). After being on the road for over 10 days for hockey, clean clothes were not a luxury — they were a necessity. The price gouging during the tournament was the final insult. The rates we were charged were significantly higher than booking directly through their own website. And the “complimentary breakfast”? Cold eggs. Bacon floating in grease. Even the cereal and milk tasted off. I wouldn’t serve it at home, and I certainly wouldn’t feed it to my kids. If you’re looking for an overpriced, poorly maintained hotel with dismissive management, broken amenities, and shockingly low cleanliness standards, this is your place. If you value safety, working facilities, and even the bare minimum of hospitality — stay literally anywhere else.

Was greeted as soon as we walked in, and staff were very helpful. The room was clean but had noticeable cosmetic damage that needs repaired. The pillows felt like they had no stuffing which lead to difficulty sleeping and my neck being sore in the morning. Since it is winter I thought the pool area would be somewhat warm but it was on the cold side and couldn't handle being in longer than 30 minutes. The location itself is off the highway but jammed in between other hotels and behind a gas station. If you're looking for a hotel in the area with a little view this isn't it. Otherwise for the price it isn't too bad.

This was the most unwelcome I have ever felt at a hotel, and we spend many nights at hotels due to travel sports. Before arrival, I called to change the dates of our stay due to illness affecting our ability to leave home at the scheduled time, and they would not change the dates of our stay when I was not canceling, just changing the check-in day. They took my phone number for a manager to call me back about our situation, and I never received a phone call in return. The hallways had an unpleasant smell. The hotel threatened to kick us out of our rooms with no refund when we had not even been at the hotel other than to sleep. This picture is of our shower after I had been out of it for 30 minutes. The water wouldn’t drain at all and came up my legs in a quick shower. When I decided to leave early, knowing I wouldn’t receive a refund or any type of customer support, there was an additional balance of $155 showing after I had already prepaid for 3 nights. If this hotel doesn’t want to have teams visit, then they should not agree to have them stay. It felt like prison instead of an enjoyable trip, and the hotel employees acted like we inconvenienced them by simply staying at their hotel.
