The hotel staff is very friendly and willing to help. The hotel overall is very accommodating and looks nice. I think the only issue we had was that the beds are hard as a rock so we didn’t get much sleep for the two nights that we stayed.

Nice updated or new hotel only down far was finding it as it’s located behind a gas station and you have to use their parking lot to access the hotel parking lot and there was no signage indicating the best western. Bed and rooms we comfortable. Breakfast was normal complimentary hotel breakfast. Never used pool, was hoping for a hot tub but there wasn’t one at this location.

Natalie warmly greeted us and checked us in. There was a problem with our reservation as we had booked a pet friendly king suite using the Best Western App, but dogs are only allowed in two of the queen bed rooms. No that’s not what happened. No one was at the desk. The lobby was stunning, gorgeous, with a fireplace, of sorts. We walked around for a while and then used the restroom. We returned to the front desk and noticed, amongst many signs, the sign that said press button for service. I pressed and it emitted a very loud sound. A young woman came out from a room and spoke but I couldn’t hear over the loud sound. She repeated herself again and again until I could hear say press the button. Then the sound stopped. That’s when she greeted us. We were all a little annoyed by the sound. And she told us that we couldn’t have the room that we had reserved. She spoke on the phone with someone who knows all the details about where pets can stay. The person on the phone helped her through the check in process. Natalie was very friendly and compassionate. Our room was beautiful. It had very tasteful decor, kind of a retro modern design. It was brightly lit with very high ceilings. It had two chairs so we could both sit at the same time and didn’t have to take turns sitting. The tv was very big. There were very few channels available. A list of tv channels got our hopes up that we could watch HBO but that was not actually available. Only local stations and some sports and limited news stations. It did however have IFC and Fritz watched “Police Academy” while I walked our little dog and unpacked the car. The parking lot was brightly lit with plenty of available spaces. I was able to cast apps from my phone to the smart tv so that we could watch better tv. We ordered dinner with Door Dash and had amazing food from a local deli. There was a convenience store with a Subway right next door but I didn’t notice it until the next morning. But I did start to notice little details about the room that led me to believe that the maintenance and care had gone downhill. There were lots of spider webs on the walls. The drapes were ripped. The tile grout in the bathroom was dirty. Just a little rough around the edges. But otherwise an elegant room for sure. The bed was very comfortable with clean sumptuous linens and plump pillows. There was a fitness center with a variety of machines and an indoor pool that looked good. Breakfast was plentiful. The bacon looked crisp. There was a Folgers coffee machine and a Nestle orange juice dispenser that had sugar free Kiwi Strawberry vitality drink as well as 100% Apple juice and orange cocktail. Lots of food choices such as yogurt from a machine, cereals, packaged oatmeal, hard boiled eggs and many other hot breakfast foods. The in room refrigerator was a great size and worked well. The HVAC was really good. A quiet stay at the Elkhart Best Western.
