Welcome to the Tuscola Holiday Inn Express conveniently located right off of interstate 57 exit 212. We are located 25 minutes south of the University of Illinois home of the Fighting Illini. Our hotel is the go-to destination for U of I events, including football games, basketball, baseball, high school events, and a variety of campus activities. We are ideally positioned for all U of I visitors needs. We are also 25 minutes north of the new Emerald Acres Sports Connection in Mattoon Illinois. We’re thrilled to announce that as of June 2024, our hotel has undergone complete renovation, offering guests a modern and stylish stay. With the latest and greatest IHG design, we are proud to offer a comfortable and affordable stay at our 82-room hotel, which features a variety of accommodations, including King Suites, Two Queen Bedrooms, and Single King Rooms. We are the small town gem that you will be happy that you stopped and stayed at whether its for one night or a week there is always things to go do and see. Our downtown offers a lot of locally owned and operated shops from clothing to art work made by local artist. The Amish community in Arthur IL is a must see with delouse food, downtown shops and a museum to tell you the history of the local Amish. After your done in Arthur you can go on a safari drive through with Aikman Wildlife Adventure where you can feed the animals. We look forward to seeing you on your visit!

We were a little concerned it may be noisy being close to Interstate and the number of door closing sounds still at 9:30pm but it turned out to be a quiet night. Maybe they could look at getting soft closing doors in the future.

The beds were so comfortable, and there were other nice touches in the room like complete blackout curtains over the windows, plenty of plugins, nice lighting and the staff were some of the friendliest I have encountered. I highly recommend the breakfast especially their veggie omelette, cinnamon rolls and exceptional coffee.
