When I arrived, I spoke to the individual at the front desk, letting them know that I was here for early check in. Her response to this was, “oh, that means nothing. They will say anything to get you off the phone.” I got the keys to my room and I was honestly shocked when I walked in- the overall cleanliness of the environment was not great. First, it looked like someone had been laying in the bed prior. Other concerns noted were an unclean bathroom, what looked to be mold in the shower, a shower chair in the shower, bathroom door knob was broken, etc. I contacted customer service and they were able to get me a different room. This room was a bit more clean than the one prior, but I did note that there was a dead bug on the floor, shower curtain was broken, bathroom door had a hole in it, and, again, just overall uncleanliness. The individual at the front desk did call up to my room to check on me, which was very kind. Super disappointing as I usually like staying at Holiday Inns because the standard is that they are clean, but this one is not up to par.
