    Probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in years. Rooms are gross, area is pretty sketchy, staff is incompetent. Can’t wait to never stay here again.

    I accidentally booked this location (Springfield, IL), when I meant to book Springfield, OH. I was able to book for Springfield OH for the same night but the IL location refused to cancel the reservation and stated my travel agency would need to speak with the General Manager the following day. After several attempts to reach them, they got in contact and the GM refused to assist, stating we have no proof (we do, as I have a receipt from the correct location), and I am effectively stuck working with my bank to resolve the issue so that I'm not paying for two rooms in two different states for the same night. Will never book with this hotel as I sometimes stay in Springfield IL, and I am considering switching to Marriot Hotels going forward. Tired of dealing with awful customer service through Hilton brands. I am submitting a complaint to Hilton corporate as well.

    We stayed this past Monday (February 16, 2026) and arrived very late, just hoping to sleep. Unfortunately, the stay was disappointing from the moment we entered our handicap‑accessible mobility room. The bathroom door handle was extremely loose, which I could have overlooked, but then there was no hot water at all. There was also no shampoo in the bathroom. We decided to skip showers since we were leaving early and just try to rest in what Hilton Garden Inns are usually known for: soft, fluffy beds. Then my husband set his bag on the desk chair and placed his CPAP bag on the desk, and the entire desk wobbled like it was about to fall apart. It was so unstable that if I—or any other disabled guest—had leaned on it for balance, it could have ended very badly. After he warned me, I avoided all the furniture except the bed, which unfortunately was not the big fluffy bed we expected. Normally Hilton Garden Inns are reliable, but this room felt neglected, unsafe, and far below the standard we’ve come to expect, especially for an accessible room where safety should be the priority.

    Every person we came in contact on this property was AMAZING! They really went above and beyond to make us feel at home away from home. The rooms were clean and had everything you could need. Beds could be a little more comfy, but with location to everything, I would totally stay here again.
