    Breakfast is a huge disappointment, no yogurt, no hot water at breakfast for 3 days despite requests, owners kids coughing on the buffet. Tile in bathroom kind of hazardous due to uneven surface and sharp edges. A.c is nasty. Have been coming here for years (decades) but unfortunately this is our last stay here.

    Stayed here once before and was not really impressed. Parking lot needs repair. You can tell they tried but there is still cracked, loose areas of concrete. At 4am, front entrance was not secure, no key needed for entry. Most IHG properties offer coffee/hot water 24/7 but none available until 6am. Breakfast 7-10am which is rather late for business travelers. No yogurt. Didn't try anything else as it did not look appetizing. Carpets are not clean, ceramic tiles cracked. No hand soap in room. Had to run water thru keurig to clean before using the one pod of coffee in room. Water does not get very hot, low water pressure. Furniture in room is dated, chipped and upholstery is very dirty. Mattress was fairly comfortable and pillows appear to be recently replaced, but no protective cover between pillow case and pillows. Air/heat units are filthy, grime is visible on vents. Window covering are dusty. Screen has been cut. Window frames are dirty. Elevator is a little noisy, door is loose when in operation. Front desk attendant announced my room number when checking in to all guests in lobby area. Did not recognize my rewards free night (used when making reservation) provided copy of reservation showing it was booked using this certificate but she said this would have to be approved by management. We will see when checking out what happens.

    Good hotel, room service was awesome. Destini was awesome help with checking in. She was very nice and helpful with any questions I had!

    I stay here pretty frequently for work i can't say much about the hotel itself. Its definitely not the worst hotel but on the other hand its definitely not best, however destini at the front desk is extremely helpful everytime I need something she's very responsive motivated and attentive to whatever it is that's needed done along with the other hotel staff.

    Should’ve driven the extra 24 minutes to Hilton Spark. This Holiday Inn in Jacksonville, IL was a complete disappointment. From the moment I walked in, I regretted not turning around and heading to Hilton Spark instead. • The window curtain looked like a feral cat had shredded it—torn, filthy, and neglected. • One of the “clean” towels had a boot print on it. Yes, a literal boot print. • The shower had mold visibly caulked over, as if that somehow made it acceptable. • There were three gaping holes in the wall where the thermostat used to be—no patch, no cover, just exposed damage. And then came the invasions of privacy: • Despite hanging the “I am not ready for room service” sign, someone still attempted to enter. Thankfully, the latch held. • Later, while I was in the shower, maintenance tried to enter again claiming the key card needed repair. No prior notice, no call from the front desk. I had to yell through the door that I wasn’t aware of any issue. Again, the latch saved me. This was at 10:00 AM—two hours before checkout. Why couldn’t this wait? The lack of communication and disregard for guest privacy is unacceptable. Do yourself a favor: drive the extra 24 minutes and stay somewhere that respects your comfort and safety.
