  Checked into my room. It smells strongly of curry and mildew, the hot water didn’t work, the bathroom outlet didn’t work, there were stains on my bedding and overall the room just felt icky. I was supposed to stay 6 nights but quickly switched to another hotel after the first night.

  Outstanding Service That Made a Special Day Even Brighter! I recently planned a surprise for my brother and sister-in-law, who were celebrating their anniversary at Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago - Schaumburg. I coordinated everything remotely with the help of the hotel’s front desk and central support, arranging cake, flowers, balloons, and champagne. The experience was beyond amazing! The front desk lady was incredibly kind and went out of her way to make it special. I had asked for my message to be printed, but to my surprise, they took the time to write it out beautifully by hand. That small gesture made a big difference and added such a personal, thoughtful touch. Thanks to the wonderful staff, my brother and sister-in-law had an unforgettable celebration. This is what true customer service looks like — sharing happiness, showing empathy, and going the extra mile to make someone’s day brighter. Highly recommend this property and team for their warmth and attention to detail. 💐🎂🍾

  I’m a loyal Hilton Honors member and usually go out of my way to stay at Homewood Suites because of the consistent quality and comfort — but this location was by far the worst I’ve ever experienced. We checked into room 133 around midnight, and immediately noticed an awful, overpowering smell of maple syrup and curry. Since it was so late, my boyfriend and I decided to wait until morning to request a new room. When we woke up, we were greeted by not one, not two, but three crickets crawling around in our bed. When we reported the issue, the manager initially offered only half off our night — even though we had been in the room for barely six hours and clearly could not stay there. We had to push for a full refund, which we eventually received. The new room we were given still had a musty odor, and overall, the property is extremely outdated and in desperate need of renovation. This experience was completely unacceptable for a Hilton property. I truly hope corporate takes notice and addresses the condition and cleanliness of this hotel, because it does not meet the Homewood Suites standard in any way.

  Arrived at 11:30PM and was given a room that had recently had cigarette smoke. Went all the way back to reception since they provided us the furthest room away and asked for a different room. They provided a second room that also had remnants of cigarette smoke. I don't recommend staying here if you are looking for smoke free hotel rooms.

  I stayed here for 1 week, I enjoyed my stay. Room was very clean, organized and check is was very easy. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast is available Monday-Saturday 7am-10am. Close enough to shopping centers and supermarkets. Near O’Hare Airport.
