  It was a nice place, clean room, standard/acceptable breakfast. Neat that they had a putting green to use, and lawn chess. I do have to admit the trade off of being next to the interstate is the noise. It affected sleeping (I travel a lot for work and this was exceptional). Had to leave TV on all night to try to drown it out. Side note, if you book with a third party (like my company does), you will be billed an extra $3 a night after checking out on the card used at check in. This was not explained at check in, but evidently was part of all the stuff agreed to when checking in. Had I known this while there, I would've gotten a receipt and my company would've paid for it, no big deal. Instead, I noticed it on my personal card later on. When I called, I accidentally got the owner and he explained it was to recover funds for a grant they got when constructing for upgrades to the building (like energy recovering ventilation, etc.). He was very helpful and thorough, kudos to him. I suggested getting the desk to verbally tell people about the $3. Anyway, minor detail, but just wanted people to know. Happy travels!

  BEWARE! The Hotel Management is prejudiced and inappropriate towards women. They ignore Diamond Elite status and IF you comment negatively on any service, they kick people off the property FOREVER. Reporting that the room was missing a clock/charger resulted in future cancel of reservation from the property! A single reporting of a missing clock, no destruction of property, loud noise, late hours, only a negative critique (one negative about a clock) that management did not like and they canceled a reservation without warning, and the ability to make other plans, and IHG said any negative comment towards this hotel will result in a property ban! BEWARE! Zero ability to share contrary facts -unbelievable poor customer service!!! Do Not Stay here - go to Hilton or Marriott!

  Exceptional experience from start to finish. Staff is incredibly friendly – greeted me upon arrival and had my name listed on the arrivals board. Rooms are spotless and amenities are great (gym, pool, putting green, patio, +more). Doesn’t get better than this for the price in Schaumburg. Downsides – slightly removed from Schaumburg proper if you’re traveling for work or looking for restaurants within walking distance. Footsteps can be heard if you have upstairs neighbors. Overall, I would stay again!

  This is a very nice property. Staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, and everything looked very nice. My only concerns are two things that the staff truly can do nothing about. First, there is considerable road noise from the expressway. Second, I do not understand why corporate Holiday Inn has opted for hard floors rather than carpet in the rooms. There is an echo as if you are sleeping in a warehouse. The staff are very friendly and professional and they maintain an overall very nice property.
