  The front desk was pushy irritating and almost obnoxious tried to force a 200 dollar room reservation charge then insisted that since I was local that I couldn't stay I'm not local I have been living in Carbondale for months just didn't have the time to replace my id and she really was rude really rude about it plus I had an early reservation check in that one of the nicer employees called me and told me it was done but when I arrived it was very touch and go. She refused to believe that one I had called ahead and two almost refused to even look and she refused to validate my frequent stay points either she thinks she knows my family there in Salem and was trying to judge my character based on hearsay or something I'm not sure where the animosity came from but I had an online reservation and instead of losing a day that cost 150 dollars with tax because of her downright rudeness I stayed despite my anger at being mistreated like that so be warned.... Despite spending almost 300 dollars she still said I should be staying somewhere cheaper that I could afford I am still angry about this and will call the area manager of IHG I mean it's 2025 you can't be acting like your better that your clients at a hotel room I should have raised holy you know what with the IHG upper management I have diamond status never have I been treated like that untill my hometown arrival for the holidays thank you IHG I WILL BE WARNING EVERYONE I KNOW HERE what to expect from IHG at this particular location you cannot be disrespecting someone for color creed religion or sexual preferences Period !

  Hotel was nice, clean, and service was great. They also allow dogs and even have a heated pool & gym.

  I normally stay with IHG and have been for about 10 years and don’t have problems but beware of this one . One 11/29 i get to check in with my confirmation # and she said oh I don’t have rooms available. I showed her my confirmation number and she said that’s weird typed a lot then said I have this room or that to choose from .. how did you go from 0 rooms to I get to have a pick of 2 ?! Then I left my brand new hoodie on the bed and it was never returned to me . It was a bad experience ever since. I called same day of check out to tell them Kaylee said she would check room and lost/found then call me back waited an hour never returned call . I called back she said Oppss well I can’t look up what room number you were in(not true) got the room # situation figured out said she would call me back & then she lied about writing down my phone number to call me back . I Called next day another lady (no name) said I will check into it and call you back once again no call back for entire day . I Called back again at end of day and she answered and said oh I just looked (how convenient) and I couldn’t find it . I asked to speak with manager Rhonda on several occasions leaving my name and number also left voicemail because the stories were not lining up and I wanted answers . Rhonda called me back and left a VM said hoodie was MIA but she would let me know if anything changed . I wanted to talk to manager so called back again and left another message this went on for 4 days back and forth and I never spoke with manager . I have called IHG and opened a case number on this location . The most important thing about hotels is you have to have trustworthy staff ! Also they let the dogs in food area I unders Pet friendly but that’s nasty & not sanitary. Such a disappointing experience

  The first night was fine. No noise slept well. The second night had kids jumping up and down above us sounded like they were going to fall through the ceiling 🙃 Room service never cleaned our room. No fresh towels. My wife went to the front desk and told the girl working,she said your kidding me and said well...I don't have her phone number. She will probably be back to clean your room? Never seen her.The girl said just sit your trash in the hallway, we did for hours.I told the wife that we look like trash.So she took it down the hall and put it in a trash can! The water pressure for the shower was terrible 😫 and lost hot water! Cold shower! If I go back to that area we will most likely look elsewhere. It was a bummer!

  Had a great experience staying here. Staff was extremely friendly, helpful and so welcoming. Lobby was clean and looked fancy. Room was spectacular. Beds were comfy and pillows were like clouds. The breakfast had so many options and everything was delicious. Would recommend people to stay here anyday.
