Rate in parking was not disclosed on booking site per night arrival and check in was surprised with parking fees. During stay cosmetic painting was being done to doorways of rooms by maintenance crew. I asked for courtesy to work around my night shift schedule and front desk assured me it would be noted and I would not be disturbed during my sleep hours with my do not disturb sign posted and they made note of my room. I was awakened right in middle of my sleep time and they explained it was only door frame painting they would leave door closed with metal latch. Then proceeded to open door fully and prop open fully while I was trying to rest using electric sanders and whole crew of men while I was woman alone in the room. I set up waited patiently for them to finish and they kept coming back and reapply three times to door and propping up this continued from 2pm to 4:30 pm and i had to finally call and ask front desk to tell them to allow me to close my door to allow me to shower and goto my evening shift job to even be allowed to shower in privacy in my room. Not to mention toon the painting was done without ventilation and fumes aggravated my respiratory system and i had breathing issues as a result for two days. When I contacted the front desk to ask for privacy for my shower time they said well you could have refused. I did so that prior to them starting and talking to the front desk clerk asked them to postpone my room until I checked out the next day they said i would not be disturbed yet the maintenance manager made a point to force me to have the painting done during the middle of my rest time for night shift for me he did not give me the option to refuse instead bullies his way and forced the issue to get it done for his crew to complete the rooms, regardless of what I wanted to happen i was ignored when i asked them to not do it and wait and i was over ridden when i explained why. My right as a paying customer were violated and my privacy wS violated and the use of the room was denied i had to wait for them to finish and it made me late for work and have no sleep as a rest to work the evening shift and i was still required to pay for this really bad service as a result. the customer service at this hotel location in IHG is the worst I have ever encountered. Front desk clerks were pushy and so was maintenance manager forcing me to open my room to a group of guys to allow them lesve my door wide open for cosmetic touch ups on door frames which was ridiculous i think. This should have been better planned scheduled and executed to not interrupt the paying customers rental of the room or cause them hardship. Staybridge Suites Rosemont location is not the best place to stay for any length of time.

The guy at the front desk, his name is KHAN! He was very rude, poor manners, uneducated and very disrespectful. He first said he had no rooms, then said he did and when we wanted to pay said he had no rooms anymore for walk-ins. This all happened at 1 am and had no customer service what so ever. Horrible experience!

If you care about privacy, safety, or even basic respect as a guest, do not stay here! I booked a premium room with an airport view expecting a comfortable, private stay. Instead, I arrived to a room with no microwave and no bathtub just a basic shower setup and dirty windows. Not what I would consider “premium” by any standard. That was only the beginning of a deeply disturbing experience. On my second day, housekeeping knocked in the morning and acted confused, as if they weren’t even sure they were supposed to be there. I didn’t need my room cleaned and she acted as if she couldn’t understand what I was saying. I left the hotel for a few hours and returned to find my room had been entered and fully cleaned without my consent. My PERSONAL PRIVATE INTIMATE belongings had been moved around. I was never informed this would happen, and I never requested it. Had I known I would have put my INTIMATE PRIVATE ITEMS away. That alone was concerning but what followed was completely unacceptable. Around 3 PM that same day, while I was alone in my room and UNDRESSED, staff knocked briefly and immediately used a key card to ENTER MY ROOM without waiting for a response. No warning, no pause, no respect for occupancy. I had to tell them to leave while I was exposed. I got dressed to see what they had wanted. I was then casually asked if I needed “service” or fresh towels, despite my room already being cleaned earlier that day without my consent. I immediately called the front desk after this first incident. I had asked if it was normal for housekeeping to clean a room after only one night of a two-night stay. I was told housekeeping is only done by request the first night. I then explained that my room had already been entered and cleaned without my permission. The response I received was to ask if my “do not disturb” sign was on the door. I explained I didn’t put one up because I had assumed and also just been told cleaning is only done after the first night by request, so I reasonably did not expect anyone to enter my room. I explained that they had came back in my room recently while I was NAKED and it was just a few moments ago as in after 3PM. She seemed alarmed on why they were reentering my room after it had already been cleaned and doing so so late in the day and told me she would call me back. When I was called back the only response offered was a free breakfast, which was a basic setup that is usually free at most hotels and does not come close to addressing repeated privacy violations and unsafe entry into an occupied room. As a woman traveling alone, this was not just inconvenient it was terrifying. After that point, I did not feel safe even changing clothes in MY OWN ROOM THAT I PAID FOR. The issues did not stop there. The following morning around 9 am before checkout which is at 12PM there were again attempts to enter my room and AGAIN I was undressed inside the room. At that point, I was genuinely afraid to be in any vulnerable state at all. This was not a misunderstanding. This was repeated, unannounced entry into an occupied room, paired with conflicting information from staff and a complete lack of coordination or respect for guest privacy. This was a serious failure in guest safety, communication, and basic respect for boundaries. Entering an occupied room multiple times without clear consent or notice is unacceptable under any circumstances. I will not stay here again, and I strongly advise anyone especially solo travelers to think carefully before booking.

Was in town for a concert and booked this hotel based on reviews, particularly that it was a pleasant stay and the staff is helpful. Unfortunately that was not our experience. Upon check-in, we were informed that we had received a “free upgrade” to the 8th floor. I was surprised as I don’t have really any loyalty points or any reason to be upgraded. Staff initially seemed very friendly and we were happy to be in what we thought would be a better room. Upon our return to the hotel late in the evening, we were quite surprised to hear extremely loud DJ music and yelling. Apparently our room was directly under the Sky Nine lounge, and there was an event taking place. We could literally hear the sounds of women’s heels stomping right above our heads. We called and asked for a change of room and the hotel stated they couldn’t accommodate but told us the noise would be done well before midnight. The event itself did not end until after midnight and the sounds of the cleanup crew continued past 1 am. It was a deeply unpleasant and uncomfortable experience, and we felt very misled by staff. Had we been informed about the event in advance, we could have adjusted our plans to be out later or simply bought earplugs before 11:30pm. Instead, we were completely misled by this “free upgrade” which turned out to be the worst nights sleep in a hotel that I have ever had. Yes the room was clean and a nice size. Yes it is a very easy and safe walk to Allstate Arena. You can hear planes from the rooms but obviously that wasn’t our biggest concern. In my opinion, there is an issue with transparency, customer care, and solving issues. Perhaps if you are hosting events that would cause your guests to be kept awake by loud music, yelling, stomping, and slamming you should have better sound-proofing in your rooms. And certainly not lie and call that an “upgrade”!

Great arrival experience as we were allowed to check in early. Hotel is a bit rundown. Noticed that a few buttons in the elevator were burned out along with several overhead directional arrows. It is located super close an incredibly busy O’Hare airport landing strip. Loud plane noises occur 24/7, so make sure to bring some earplugs. Asked the front desk for a kettle to heat our own water in the room and was promptly told that none were available. (FYI: This is wrong. Housekeeping manager said that they can provide upon request.) Complimentary water dispensers and a microwave are located on the first floor next to the front desk. Free airport shuttle must be scheduled one day prior to checkout. I would specifically like to thank the following staff members: 1. Nancy at the lobby level Gronds Control coffee bar, as she provided excellent customer service. 2. Elia and Donnell (housekeeping and maintenance managers, respectively) for helping us to resolve our frustrating Keurig coffee machine issue. 3. Emma from housekeeping, as she did an amazing job of cleaning our 6th floor room. 🙏
