The biggest disappointment was that I booked this hotel to have a hot tub which they do not have! Then I seen the pool was heated.The pool was heated however the room was freezing and had ice on the windows. The pool was not warm it was impossible to be warm and stay warm in there. But could tell it was heated. The whole purpose for the stay was to get away and swim and have fun. We got to swim Max an hour the 2.5 days we were there. My kids were freezing. When asked can they make the pool room warmer they do not have that ability! This was awful! Then they over charged my card. They still have not called me back nor have I got my deposit back.

Jets in room are broken ,housekeepers are inconsiderate and loud , couldn’t use the pool it was always filled with so many people and kids old dirty rugs with stains , tv didn’t work well , the water gets so hot it can give a 3rd degree burn in the shower terrible holiday inn

My stay at this Holiday Inn was extremely disappointing. The manager and front desk staff were consistently rude and unprofessional, which made the entire experience stressful. The rooms were in unacceptable condition — the bathroom had mold throughout, the shower heads were dirty, and the bedsheets and pillows had visible blood marks. After requesting a room change, we found that every other room had similar issues. To make matters worse, the staff refused to provide a printed receipt and would not return my deposit despite the circumstances. I strongly recommend avoiding this location.

⭐ 1-Star Review – Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chicago West–Roselle
This Holiday Inn Express is extremely dirty, unsafe, and poorly managed, and I strongly warn families to stay away. We checked in around 12:30 AM with two children under five, both allergic to mold, and within minutes realized the room was completely uninhabitable. The bathroom and shower area were covered in visible mold and fungus, the bed skirt and furniture had blood and mold stains, and the sofa bed did not even have proper bedding. When we asked for pillows, we were given ones that were also stained with blood and mold, which was shocking and unacceptable.
We immediately went to the front desk (within 15 minutes of check-in) and showed photos. The staff then showed us multiple alternative rooms, which we personally inspected with them. Every single room offered was in the same filthy condition, especially the bathrooms and showers. There was not one clean or safe room available in the hotel. Because of the serious health risk, especially to our children, we left immediately and did not stay in the room at all.
What made this experience even worse was the hotel’s unprofessional and careless handling of the situation. The front desk initially refused to provide receipts, showed no concern for the health risks, and refused to refund the room charges. Only after the manager came was the deposit refunded, but the hotel still refused to refund the room cost, even though no habitable room was provided.
Most importantly, Hotels.com directly contacted this Holiday Inn on our behalf and requested a refund after reviewing the situation. Even after this escalation, the hotel still refused to approve the refund, clearly showing a complete lack of accountability and concern for guest safety.
This property does not meet basic Holiday Inn cleanliness or hygiene standards, and the way management handled this situation was irresponsible and dismissive. I would strongly advise anyone — especially families with children or health concerns — to avoid this hotel at all costs.

Absolutely Disgusting – Do Not Stay Here
This hotel is beyond unacceptable. The room was filthy and clearly had not been cleaned at all. There was visible mold throughout the room, which is a serious health hazard, and what appeared to be blood stains on surfaces. The bathroom was disgusting—dirty, unsanitized, and obviously ignored by housekeeping.
When we raised these issues with management and requested a refund, we were flatly refused. The lack of accountability and basic customer care was shocking. This is easily the worst hotel management I have ever dealt with.
Staying here was a complete waste of money and an awful experience. I strongly warn others to stay far away from this property unless they completely overhaul their cleanliness standards and management practices.
