I had work in the area and this was a good central location to western suburban areas from the airport (but it was still 30 minutes to get back to ORD). I was attached to an event center, that was not being used. I frequent a lot of IHG properties and this one was a disappointment. I had a decent 2 room suite, it was a strange layout, but I appreciated the extra space. This property has not really be updated or improved. The rooms looked old and tired. The HVAC did not work too well, the bedroom tv had someone lock out movies with a password on parental controls in DTV which could not be undone. The living room TV was very small for viewing from the couch. The morning breakfast was ok but never varied and was minimal. The staff was okay but there was no housekeeping the 1st day and was told that it was not provided except for every 3rd night. It was not a very expensive stay, so I guess, you get what you pay for.

Carpets have mysteriously colored stains, shower head is supposed to be silver, not black from mold, carpet grows mold, walls and ceilings stained with God know what. Guess you get what you pay for.
Breakfast was good, staff in the breakfast wonderful.
But I still won't stay here again.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn at Roselle, Illinois (1490 W Lake St, Roselle IL 60172) from September 3rd to September 4th. I left my Nintendo Switch on my bed and called within hours to state that I left my item there. Somehow the hotel somehow could not locate it despite there being minimal other guests that day. He actually said "this happens a lot" where the staff will just essentially lose everything a guest leaves due to carelessness. Thus, my Switch was never returned with it having $100s of games along with an SD card equivalenting to over $500. I placed a case via IHG customer service shortly thereafter. The manager, Peter Tamsevicius, is the one who I have been in contact with. He stated that he would provide me with a refund for the value of my switch, SD card and game that was in my switch. I filled out a credit authorization form, and it has now been 4 weeks since that happened. He told me it would take 5-10 business days, and it has now been 20 business days. I have tried to call the hotel dozens of times and when they choose to come to the phone, the manager Peter is either not available or outright refuses to take the phone. Consider yourself lucky if this hotel answers 1/20 calls you place. Furthermore, all my emails are not going through to Peter's email anymore. I have attached proof of his email promising my refund. You can also see my call log to the hotel where they never answer. This is clearly business misconduct to promise me a refund and then not provide it, highlighted with direct non-responsiveness. This was the first time I stayed at this hotel for my WORK, and of course it was the worst hotel I have ever had the displeasure of staying at.
