I stayed here for 4 nights in a room with a kitchenette. OVERALL: an otherwise great hotel that could just use more maintenance/attention in some areas. At the end of the day, I would stay here again.
ROOMS: I really enjoyed the comfortable bed. But holy moly, the water pressure from the shower head in room 224 felt like getting punished by a water cannon from a police crowd control vehicle. The shower is essentially like a water main break gushing out of the wall. I really love solid water pressure in hotel showers, but even this one was a bit over the top. The pots/dishes in the kitchenette are probably not checked by the cleaning staff. Instead, the last person to use them lazily rinsed them and left some food remnants on the dishes. The induction stove top is not intuitive. I had to ask Google how to "unlock" it. Some directions in the room would have been helpful.
FOOD: The breakfast is absolutely delicious and has great options to choose from throughout the week (B&G, scrambled eggs/omelets, sausage, fruit, waffles, oatmeal, etc.). The ladies providing breakfast are very kind. And the ladies at the front desk are patient and very polite.
AMENITIES: I was excited to see a hotel fitness center that actually invested in sufficient weight lifting equipment (leg extensions, lat pulldown, chest press, etc). Unfortunately the machines desperately need maintenance (they haven't been properly oiled in some time), so moving the weight is pretty tough and almost makes them useless. The courtyard has a cute little basketball court which is a nice touch. The pool area was under maintenance so unfortunately I can't comment on that.

Clean, well kept room. Friendly service attachment the desk. Breakfast buffet was above average when ranked against similar offerings.

The bathroom had black mold around the shower doors and there was dirt buildup in the corners of the bathroom floor. The exterior of property has trash all over it. We stayed 2 nights and hallway floors were never vacuumed. There was a spot on the wall next to the toilet that I wiped off with soap and water. There is gravel on the sidewalks around the building on the property, a very big trip and fall issue. They need better housekeeping

*Do not stay here*
The good:
-Breakfast
-The kind workers clearly being hamstrung by poor management.
The bad:
-Management
-State of the room
-BED BUGS BEING LEFT UNTREATED
Recently stayed. Spent our first night locked out of the room because the lock died and the key needed to unlock the door is kept in the managers locked office at night. Spent the second night packing our things in trash bags and driving 5 hours back home after finding bed bugs in our room. Along with this, the room was trashed (ac unit hanging off the wall, door knob barely attached, shower that constantly leaks). All photos below. Went back and forward with guest services and the manager only to get a partial refund and a small amount of points. We had to discard hundreds of dollars in items because they couldn’t be properly handled to ensure bed bugs didn’t enter our home.
The manager advised that someone else came in and checked for bed bugs and didn’t find any, so the room was fine. THE BED BUG WE FOUND, KILLED AND TOOK A PHOTO OF WAS LEFT ON THE COUNTER. Probably overlooked like many other things in the hotel. They aren’t treating it for bed bugs even with a known case. Don’t risk it.

This is a very clean place to stay, was impressed that our room had a mini kitchen which included two burners, dishwasher, full size fridge. Staff was very kind and when our room wasn’t ready at check in they apologized multiple times and did again when we checked out. Felt safe and they served breakfast which was good! If you are going to an event at the Peoria Civic Center I highly recommend, a quick 5 minute walk and parking is included with your stay! Would stay here again!
