  Had a great stay here. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and everything was well taken care of. What really stood out though was the hotel manager they were extremely helpful, professional, and made sure we were taken care of. Great customer service like that really makes a difference. Would definitely stay here again!

  Hotel is not open yet, they never contacted me to notify me that it was not open yet. I found out the day before I was supposed to arrive. Ended up scheduling a night at a Hilton hotel. Then a couple days later found out that they charged my card anyway. I am a Diamond Elite status and stayed over 100 nights at IHG last year. Moved my business over to Hilton. DO NOT STAY HERE THEY ARE COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. They replied and confirmed they were not open but did not address that they still charged my card.

  I had a very disappointing and concerning experience at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chicago–Oak Park. I entered the hotel assuming it was open for business, as there was no visible signage indicating otherwise. The lobby appeared accessible, and nothing suggested the property was closed or restricted. After walking around trying to locate someone for assistance, I encountered an individual dressed in regular street clothes, with no name tag or any indication that they were an employee, manager, or owner. When I politely asked for assistance, I was met with a rude and dismissive response. The interaction escalated unnecessarily, and the individual — who I believe may have been the owner or general manager — became physically aggressive and shoved me. This conduct was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. Regardless of whether the hotel was closed or operating under limited hours, there is no justification for physical contact or hostility toward someone who reasonably believed the business was open. At minimum, there should have been clear signage indicating that the property was not open to guests. Given the seriousness of the incident, I am reviewing my options regarding how to proceed. No guest should feel unsafe or be subjected to physical aggression in what should be a professional hospitality environment. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this property and strongly urge management to address both communication and conduct standards immediately.

  canceled my reservation for nye 2 days before because its a new hotel that wont be ready in time. we should have given more notice
