  1st room was dark because of bad lighting, and the bathroom sink had no hot water. They did clean a room and moved me the next day.

  I stayed overnight at Holiday Inn Bloomington – Normal by IHG for its convenient location off the interstate. From the moment we arrived, the property felt unusually empty—quiet parking lot, deserted lobby, and we didn’t see a single guest the entire time. The first room had a strong odor, and while the front desk quickly moved us to a clean, odor-free room, the room itself was cramped and the heating unit was very loud. Service was polite and responsive, but the experience with the first room affected our confidence in using the restaurant or amenities. Tip: Request a quieter room if you’re sensitive to noise. The hotel has potential, but this stay didn’t match the high ratings we saw online.

  We stayed here twice on our way to and from Florida. This place is a ghost town and the handful of employees here don't want to work. Pool is still broken. They served us raw chicken in the restaurant and never came back to check on food or refill drinks or bring a check. Had to go up to the front desk and ask where the server/bartender/manager was and we ended up walking out.

  ​I recently completed a week-long stay (March 29th – April 4th), and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From start to finish, the hospitality was top-notch, making it feel like a true home away from home. ​The standout highlight of every morning was the breakfast service. Candrah took incredible care of us throughout the entire week. Her attention to detail, warm personality, and consistent excellence made every morning special. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated to ensuring guests have a perfect start to their day. ​I also want to give a huge shout-out to Jaime, who was equally fantastic and contributed so much to the positive atmosphere of our stay. ​Between the comfortable accommodations and the stellar service from the staff, this hotel exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend staying here if you value a team that genuinely cares about your experience!

  We partner with HI in North Normal every March for our annual Conservation Banquet. Our main contact over the years has been Jamie Yarburough - she has been our Rock Star Coordinator - working with us for our Banquet Room preparation, Food and Beverage, pre- banquet meetings and our conduit to the Sales/Catering (Donna - who is awesome to work with as well)!! Our HI Team (Jamie, Donna, Briana (new), both Chefs, etc) are our “partners” and our Committee appreciates their work to making our Banquet a success EVERY YEAR !! THANK YOU HI for your continued partnership and your sincere care for our local success among our local members among Bloomington/Normal and surrounding areas!! Over the years, together we have fine-tuned our banquet to optimize the White Oak room, found our favorite menu for our crowd, and efficient ways to make our banquet a success to all who attend with a positive experience for us and the HI North Normal - VERY COOL !!!
