One of the most important buildings in Nauvoo in the 1840s. The first temple endowment was given here to the Twelve Apostles and their wives. The Relief Society was organized here. And in the upper room Joseph Smith rolled off the Kingdom onto the shoulders of the Twelve completing all he needed to accomplish in mortality.
