Great site for American mid-western history. No cost to enter, free tours, free wagon rides, free demos, free parking. At least a full day, if not two, are needed. Great for families. Friendly staff. Note, this is a historical site that is not-for-profit so you can only buy souvenirs in the actual town.
Key highlights:
1. Functioning blacksmith's shop
2. Gunsmith building
3. Mansion house
4. Wagon rides
Lots of friendly staff more than happy to help out and a key piece of American history.
