I hated to put the entire “Service” group as a 1, but Carrie, the bartender, during my stay, was so unbelievably rude that she deserves her own review. Her overall attitude was so poor. I asked if she could put the IU/Oregon game on (I’m from IN), and she was very disrespectful about changing the channel. Mind you, I was the only one sitting at the bar. I heard her talking to the other bar staff right in front of me about how rude it was to ask for the other guests. As I sat there, multiple people came and went, and the way she spoke to hotel guests still has me flabbergasted. She seemed to be significantly nicer to men. This interaction has to be one of the worst hospitality interactions I’ve had ever.

The location was quite nice with many establishments in walking distance. The hotel itself was pleasant and didn't realize they had such a huge ballroom. The only disappointing part of the stay was they charged me for a one tier upgrade despite being a Diamond member (for nearly a decade actually). I've had several tier upgrades at fancier properties like Waldorf Astoria but making a Diamond member pay $20 for what should be a courtesy upgrade is disrespectful- quite frankly something I could never imagine Marriott doing (I also have status with them).

We booked for a staycation...the pool does not have a heater too cold to swim and the water was dirty. I wish we had stayed elsewhere..Looking at the reviews I see the pool situation has been an issue for a while.

We booked a one night stay so our kids could enjoy the pool during their winter break. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience, and I wish I had read the reviews beforehand. After checking in, we went straight to the pool. Within about 30 minutes, it was obvious the pool was absolutely filthy. The water was dark, smelled terrible, and was full of hair. My children’s eyes became extremely irritated, and they refused to get back in. As we were leaving the pool area, even staff members mentioned it had been very busy the night before and had not been cleaned yet. That is completely unacceptable and unsanitary—the pool should have been closed. When we spoke to the front desk, the employee said there was nothing she could do other than notify housekeeping for maintenance. Unfortunately, no one ever came, despite us checking multiple times throughout the night. I requested a refund so we could leave immediately, but was told it wasn’t possible because the manager wasn’t available and wouldn’t be for weeks. After reading other reviews, it seems getting a response from management is unlikely. On top of that, the rooms are outdated, elevator wait times are long, and our room didn’t even have a towel hook. Overall, this place was a huge disappointment. This was by far one of the worst hotel stays we’ve ever had honestly, a Motel 6 would have been a better option. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

This hotel is wonderful. The place was very clean. The staff was very friendly. Like family. From the concierge to the wait staff and chefs. I was so impressed. The food was great. We arrived around 9:00 pm. The bar kitchen was still open. The breakfast buffet the next morning was fantastic.
