  I debated a lot between giving 2 and 3 stars. I stay at a lot of Holiday Inn/Holiday Inn Express hotels. This one is towards the top of my least favorite list. It was dark out when I arrived, and go my surprise, all the parking lot lights were off making it very difficult to see as I found a parking spot. The lights did turn on 30-45 minutes later. Nothing stood out to me as a positive or negative during the check in process. There was some water on the floor by the elevator with some wet floor signs but I assume someone spilled something. When I got to my room I was so confused because this did not meet my expectations from other Holiday Inn/Express locations. Smoke detector hanging from the ceiling, stains all over the carpet, and an electrical outlet plate chipped (cost less than $5 to replace this plate, with a home depot located within walking distance). AC filter, microwave, and mini fridge all appeared to be relatively clean though. Overall, the room is very dated and shows years of wear. In the bathroom, I found it odd how the counter for the sink was so small but there were no towel racks for a hand towel. In the morning, the water on the hallway floor was still there. For breakfast, there were no cinnamon rolls (Holiday Inn staple) as the warmed was turned off, pancake machine had no batter, no fruits available, and the mini fridge for milk and yogurt was out of order. I decided to skip out on the hot foods. Until this hotel gets a complete makeover, the Comfort Suites across the street offers a much better experience for a cheaper price. I usually stay there while in town but chose this Holiday Inn Express because of how much I've been staying with IHG lately.

  The location of this property is great!, however, this property is in dire need of RENOVATION. The rooms are dated, drapery very old, the blackout curtains are hard to close, the TVs do not work (Phillips brand), had to call the front desk and the clerk did the best she could; maintenance came to fix it the next morning, finally got sound, but had to manually go to the TV and push buttons on the side to increase/lower volume or to turn the TV off. Bathrooms floors - tiles are missing grouts, some tiles are loose. Housekeeping -- VERY BAD, they need to clean. The showers were not clean at all, soap scum and an oily film everywhere (nasty), no vacuuming while we were there (4 days). Front Desk personnel were attentive and courteous, same for the lady who works the breakfast dining room. The printer in the business center did not work. Next time I will go to another hotel.

  I do like their is tons of stores/food places around the hotel. But, that being said they did not tell us untill we booked that the hotel was closed for maintenance, which is kinda the whole reason we booked THIS hotel... But thats not the biggest i understand thungs can happen. But, the service was not bad but not good at all either. We asked fir an extra pillow and the lady at the front desk said. "I dont know where they are but im sure their somewhere ". Like miss girl you work here.. even if it was your first day i think that like one of the moat asked questions. Anyway she aaid she would hunt one down and brijg it too us... That never happened! Also the roomes need updated but at least they were clean and the hotel was quiet and comfortable. Overall it was an okay stay!
