    Staff were kind and welcoming. Breakfast was great and as an added bonus they had the best coffee machine with lattes and flavored coffees! The tub in our room wouldn’t plug so they quickly found us another room when it couldn’t be fixed. Would definitely stay again on our travels!

    Stayed here for 2 weeks for work. The hotel staff was great. The manager Celeste was amazing always helpful and making sure everything good. The breakfast is good ate every morning after work. It's literally by alot of stores and food places. Which you can walk to especially when the weather is warm outside. The whole staff was Amazing even when we kept losing our keys. They were always helpful with no attitude which is great.

    I booked a room for 3 nights here and I have to say it was one of the most pleasant stays I’ve had. Staff is super friendly ,breakfast was delicious! They are very accommodating,I will absolutely stay here again.

    The Old Mattoon HI (now Heartland Inn) is a very nice BW property. Rooms were clean, updated, and comfortable... w a terrific refrigerator, which is nice for a long wkend stay. Breakfast was available. I'd definitely stay again

    The hotel stay was good, the room was clean. What bought the experience over the top was the lady over the kitchen whose name begins with an M. She was amazing so was the breakfast! I've never seen that type of complimentary breakfast be so exquisite. She was friendly and explained how to use the various appliances. She touched my heart when she spoke of having been a hospice nurse. She indulged my few questions with compassion and understanding all while being busy keeping the area immaculate! I would stay again just for the breakfast! I'm sorry I can't remember her whole name.
