Overpriced for a deteriorating hotel. Our room wasn’t the cleanest, but it wasn’t terrible by any means. Halls were pretty dirty and run down. It was fine for one night before getting back on the road. Staff was friendly.

Had an amazing stay thanks to the team at the MidAmerica Best Western and wanted to make sure I added to the chorus of rave reviews. Justin specifically with the front desk staff went well out of his way to ensure my wife and I had a first floor room during our stay due to the elevator malfunction (mentioned by other recent reviewers). Signs were posted very clearly about the outage and the staff was more than willing to offer us assistance to transport our bags- which we were more than willing to accept if needed. In the interest of incredible customer service however Justin and the team went above and beyond to secure us a recently flipped first-floor room to prevent the need for such. The property itself is very new and updated, quiet with no highway noise despite the proximity, and we had a wonderful stay. We're frequently in the area due to having many friends in O'Fallon and often visiting Scott AFB and I know we'll ensure we check the Best Western first before staying anywhere else!

I have stayed here before and it was great! Comfortable rooms, great location, nice staff - especially Jay the evening desk clerk. My check-in was great and I had a good nights sleep. However the next morning the elevator wasn't working and there was no sign on the elevator saying it wasn't working, no apology for it not working or offer to help carry luggage down from the 3rd floor! The morning clerk only said it made her day bad too! A disappointing end to what could have otherwise been a great stay! A follow-up - note the response from the "Owner". I didn't call the front desk as stated. However I did pack one of my bags, walk down from the 3rd floor to the ground floor with that bag, take it in the rain to my car, went in the hotel, had breakfast, walked back up to my room, brushed my teeth, packed my other bags and carried them down and they still hadn't posted a notice on the elevators. Now tell me - surely in that amount of time someone could have put a note on the elevator. And the first thing the desk clerk should have said when I checked out was - we're so sorry about our elevator. Obviously the management/ownership of this place is the problem! No apology - just excuses!

We stayed in a wedding event block of rooms. Overall, the stay was good, the breakfast in the morning was great, and the employees were very friendly and super helpful. The beds are as hard as a rock, and being 6 months pregnant, I was ecstatic to go home. Our initial stay cost $341, which we paid with no issue. The following Saturday, we received an additional charge of $468. Thankfully, my husband checked our account and immediately called. The woman he talked to gave us the response, "I can't see that charge on my end, there's nothing I can do until it goes through, but it will most likely fall off." It ended up not falling off and went through. I called back the same day that it was pulled (Tuesday), and Justin at the front desk was very helpful. He told me he escalated it to the sales manager. I asked to receive a call back from the sales manager when it was addressed. I received no call. After several hours I called back and asked to speak to the general manager. They are not available as they ran to the store to get supplies for breakfast. I called back several hours later, and they apparently are now gone for the day. Upon this third phone call, however, we were informed that the additional charge was for ANOTHER guest in the wedding block that had not paid their room charge, and that we had authorized the charge, which we 100% did not do. There was no phone call to my husband, the designated card holder, to get this consent for the charge. After days of concern that nearly $468 could be withdrawn from our account and the potential for card theft and fraudulent activity, management had been notified of the situation and did nothing. They did not have the DECENCY to investigate this themselves or call me back to handle the situation, even after the issue had been identified over the weekend. Upon my last call, I was notified, "They will call you in the morning". The handling of this situation was atrocious and showed a thorough lack of the presence and activity of management on-site. Thankfully, we know the person whose card did not go through, so they are going to pay us for the charge that we received; however the inconvenience and the blatant lie that we authorized this additional transaction makes me question whether I would be willing to stay here again. The workers at the front desk, housekeeping (Jen in particular), and breakfast workers are the only reason I am giving 2 stars. Management DO BETTER and you have lost our business.
