Very strict about 3pm check-in time. Besides that, room was spacious and clean. Close to airport and free parking. Visit friends in Evanston daily so only a 30 minute nice drive.

Everything you read on these reviews about staff rudeness is true…& I think it’s ONLY bc of the morning front desk lady. Let’s start with toilet paper. No one comes to your room with towels or toilet paper, which is fine. Supposedly u can call down, and the front staff will give u some & exchange them. I had no tp or Kleenex after a few nights, & we needed to pee & blow our noses. Was going to call down to get some w the front desk, but decided to walk down instead. Didn’t see anyone at the front (maybe she was in the back), so walked all over the hotel to find a towel/tp cart before ending up back on the 1st floor where I FINALLY then saw a cart (note: remember I was there FOUR nights total). Figured I’d ask the cleaning service for 2 rolls plus a Kleenex bc I was right there. Didn’t see a maid BY the cart, despite looking. So I grabbed a roll plus a Kleenex and tossed it into my tote, so we could have toilet paper and blow our nose. It was near the front desk but around the corner. Didn’t think it’s a criminal act. Literally a second later the front desk lady SLAMS OPEN her office door, BARRELS down the hall all red faced & SCREAMS at me “YOU CANT JUST TAKE TOILET PAPER, YOU HAVE TO TELL THE MAID!!!” Guess she saw me in one of the 30 cameras of the first floor they have. But I get it, that’s an ok rule. SO I calmly said “ok…sorry, but I don’t see a maid. I can go tell her.” That wasn’t good enough to satisfy her apparent need for VIOLENCE so she KEPT screaming “NO U AREADY TOOK IT, I SAW U PUT ONE IN UR BAG!” I calmly said “yes I took a roll plus a box of Kleenex bc we’re out”. Like calm down, I need to wipe I’m not trying to steal ur dollar-tree cost toilet paper. THEN she SCREAMS “WHAT ROOM R U IN?!?l & I actually got SCARED for my SAFETY bc she was soooo angry. I really thought she was going to jump on me and attack me over a roll of toilet paper. Treated me like I’m a criminal…like I was there 4 nights and sorry we needed to pee. It’s ok for the front to want u to come to them for things. It’s NOT ok for them to scream & act like you’re a criminal, & berate u for taking a roll of TP or Kleenex when they’re actually unapproachable or unavailable. If you ever stay here, BRING UR OWN TP bc this isn’t worth it. Is SHE the heir to this Best Western or something, mad that she has to buy tp for guests?? Hotels are $$ & we can choose from a 100, so maybe she should watch how she treats guests. Fyi she’s also the one sitting at the front desk in the am by the food buffet…but beware, she GLARES at everyone grabbing a plate. Not just me…EVERYONE. Then she follows them to see what’s on their plate. (She did this w everyone at the breakfast on day 1, the TP incident didn’t occur till day 2 or 3). Again…no one wants to take her fake, overly buttered eggs. If you read reviews on google soooooo many talk about the bad front desk service & I think it’s bc of this lady. I think the good reviews are about EVERY OTHER front desk person BESIDES this one. EVERY guy I saw was smiling and nice to guests. They’re the reason I’m giving this place a 1 vs 0…bc they were all nice but SHE made this experience so anxiety-inducing. Never been so happy to check out of a place. Will stay next door at Courtyard Marriott or Holiday Inn Express that’s literally 10 mns up the road from now on.

Our room was pretty dirty. There were a few pretty noticeable stains. For example, there was some sort of ketchup or hot sauce on the wall that was very visible. Not sure how they missed it when they cleaned it. But that's not the reason for my low review. The low rating is due to a very rude employee during the PM shift . He was very rude for no reason. He was playing on his computer and didn't even bother to acknowledge me at the front desk. I had to grab his attention because I needed batteries for the TV remote. For whatever reason, the TV remote only had one battery. I asked if he had some batteries and all he kept saying was "Not possible...not possible". Like he thinks I stole 1 triple A battery. He eventually gave me a couple triple a batteries and all he said was "not possible". Those were the only words he ever said to me during our conversation. Ahhh yep buddy, it is possible because it happend. Lol what a joke.

Fantastic experience and affordable rates at this Best Western! Consistently clean rooms and bedding. The TVs in the rooms have streaming capabilities so you can connect via phone while using different streaming platforms. Free breakfast from 6 to 9 and awesome waffle maker! Hari and the rest of the staff members are very helpful and friendly!

First off: I spoke with MGMT about their breakfast because it was so delicious and they informed me that they're cracking eggs for the scrambled eggs...no powder. For the breakfast alone, best in class. The rooms are ample and spacious feeling, with a chair and a desk in addition to the bed and TV. The bathrooms are a little tight but all's well that ends well with the MGMT opting for a higher thread count bedding, which more than makes this the absolute best hotel for the price range along the intersection (on the same intersection is a Baymont, a Marriott and a Super 8, that I have noticed- I've stayed at the Bonvoy by Marriott and must say that the BW is my go-to when in the area). Kind and attentive staff that are gracious to be hospitable. 5/5
