- JMJ McDFeb 19, 20263.0Holiday Inn Chicago North-Evanston consistently has some of the lowest rates in the greater Chicago area. It's a decent place to stay. The staff have been pleasant both visits. There was only a issue the first night of my second stay. I woke up with insect bites on my leg. I did speak to staff and they looked at my leg. We agreed that they were possibly mosquito bites and could've been attached to my clothing when I entered the property. I know to some, it sounds like a far-fetched deflection of responsibility by the hotel staff. Honestly, insects in hotel rooms don't equate to an insect infestation nor does it mean it was there before guests arrive. And people have posted pics of a tick claiming it's a bed bug. I really wish people would educate themselves before posting a review influencing others perspectives. I've stayed before that for several days and didn't have any issues. A friend of mine stayed here more recently and had no issues of any kind. I haven't stayed since because I've become better at finding deals with other hotels providing amenities, property conditions and locations that I prefer. - Respectfully.

It seems like multiple people have had this issue and no effort has been put in from the holiday inn to solve it. We left with around 20 bug bites and reported the incident to the front desk. I requested a refund and never heard back. An inspection was never done. The hotel did not follow up. DO NOT STAY HERE!! ITS NOT WORTH THE CHEAP PRICE!!!
