Amazing appetizers, along with all their own lunch and dinner plates. Never had one bad meal. Also, I must say.. always great service and quality when It came to just having a beer or cocktail. Did not disappoint. Kerri and Tia always took very good care of me during my long month+ stay. All around great staff, from the kitchen, front desk, and bar and lounge area. I enjoyed my stay and the friendly environment. Looking to go, just to visit them sometime soon. Thank you all for your warm Hospitality and service.

Others mentioned it being older and having dings and stuff. Honestly, I judge my hotels on overall cleanliness and smell. I travel a lot and if there are scuff on the door or ding in the wall, that doesnt bother me. But if I find stains on the sheets, or I am hit with a moldy mildew smell covered by cleaner, that is a no-good. I say all this in that, I liked this hotel. It is clean, smells clean. It is older, it has scuffs on the walls and in the room, but it isn't unclean. I gave service a 4 star because I asked about dinner recommendations (which the hotel has a bar and food) and the person checking me in said they didnt live nearby so they can't recommend anything (even the hotel food). I find this sad. It is a missed opportunity. Of course, I can Google search, but a recommendation from someone who has eaten near the restaurant would be nice. Lots of chain restaurants and a couple of local ones very close...anywhere from a block to 7 minutes away.

100% recommend. Staff were friendly, and very helpful. I had to pull over after 21 hours of driving, they were able to get me a noon check in for 2 rooms. I was able to sleep all day uninterrupted, woke up and enjoyed the amenities, and slept again all night. 10/10, would stop back through if in the area.

Popped in for a very short sleep for work. Check in was great. Ah sorry again about the credit card snafu on my part! Dude was cool (cardinals tattoo on forearm) Bed was comfy, room was quiet. Wasn’t too hot or cold. Lately a lot of places probably saving money the room is so hot. Takes a minute to cool off. As I was leaving, my guy was funny! Yep. Not nearly enough sleep my man! Definitely will stay here again when working in the area. Maybe sleep a little longer

We have been using Holiday Inn by Effingham for 3+ months for work we have in the area. Our crews have been very happy with their rooms, amenities, and the staff. I cannot fail to mention that working with Kerrie B. has been an absolute fantastic experience. She has done an excellent job in keeping us booked from week to week. She has made my job so much easier and for that I am grateful! She has been a such a breath of fresh air. I book many hotel rooms throughout our busy season and she is a rare gem in the industry. Thank you Kerrie for all of your expertise, professionalism and happiness you have brought to each of our stays. You are truly the BEST!! Holiday Inn Effingham is blessed to have you on their team!!
