I got keys to my room went upstairs but keys don’t work.
I go down to the front desk to get a new key.
I go back upstairs to open my room and the keys still don’t work.
I go back downstairs request a different room .
They give me a different room.
The keys work this time, but the room has no microwave.
I called the front desk, She said there is a microwave in the lobby.
I go downstairs to warm up my food.
I go back to my room and the keys don’t work.
I go back downstairs get a new key come back to my room .
And the the toilet doesn’t flush in my room.
This hotel really needs to get herself together !

My 20-year-old child was stranded in Peoria, IL due to a cancelled flight. I made a reservation through the IHG website and explicitly disclosed that my child was 20 years old. The reservation was accepted as an exception.
Upon arrival, the front desk agent, Justin, refused to allow my child to check in. His supervisor, Lynn, stated that Illinois law—or possibly this specific hotel’s policy—does not permit a 20-year-old to check in (this was not clearly explained).
Within five minutes, we were able to secure a reservation at a nearby, higher-quality hotel, where they simply required a signed waiver, which was not an issue.
I would like to see better coordination between IHG and its individual hotels, as there appeared to be no alignment or communication in this case. More importantly, rather than outright refusing a stranded traveler with a confirmed reservation, some problem-solving would have been appropriate. If a waiver solution worked at a nearby hotel, it is reasonable to ask why the same approach could not have been considered here.

We got in later in the evening. They had everything ready for us so quick check in. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Pleasant staff.
