  Highly recommend due to the proximity of airport, customer service, and room cleanliness. The hotel is somewhat basic but does have pretty much everything you would need. This hotel is a great value. I wasnt asked to leave a review, and it's rare I'm inclined to write a review, but the front desk agent was exceptional and I felt she needed a shout-out. I don't remember her name. April 10 afternoon check in.

  Just letting the management know, I chose not to stay here because I called five times over 10 mins and nobody answered the phone 😅 so I booked somewhere else.. I get that if only one person is on staff, they have to choose what to do well and what to ignore, but, I do wish they had answered the phone

  Our flight was canceled and we called a few places and the last place we called was this hotel. I spoke to whom I found out to be Bella. I told her that I’ll pay when i got to the airport. She said ok, not knowing if we would show up or not. Not only did we show up but she was very concerned about our dilemma and gave us the best accommodations we could ask for from complementary water to the offer of decaf coffee at 3am. She chose a room on the highest floor away from others so we can sleep, she also gave us the latest check out as possible at 12:30PM. She also signed me up for their discount which took about $30 off an already descent last minute price. Our room was clean and beds were comfy. Wish we could take Bella home with us. She was simply amazing.

  Close to O'Hare. Good price, nice and clean. Close to a zillion fast food restaurant and a Target across the street - very convenient. Small pool area (no hot tub) but does the trick. Nice Continental breakfast in the morning.

  I stay in hotels frequently, and Avid is one I choose when I can. The rooms are consistently clean, with hard surfaces and an open design that makes it easy to tell a room has been well kept. Beds are very comfortable, the breakfast is good, and even the coffee is better than most hotels I've stayed at and always fresh when you want some. I also appreciate the quiet — management seems to keep out the kinds of disruptive guests that can make a hotel stay miserable. TVs are large and equipped with Chromecast, so you can cast from most modern Android phones instead of being stuck watching infomercials. Parking is free, which the manager pointed out is uncommon for hotels so close to the airport. Avid will also try to accommodate reasonable late check-outs when their schedule permits, without annoying fees. My only real complaint is the algorithmic pricing. Rates swing wildly (likely due to airport demand), and that can push me to stay farther away some nights — for example, I sometimes choose the Holiday Inn Express in Niles when Avid spikes, and I’ve noticed some of the same staff between the two. If you can avoid the surge days, or need to be closer to the airport, Avid offers a clean, comfortable, no-nonsense stay.
