We visited after 7pm on a Wednesday evening and there was no wait at all. We literally saw no one until we got to the top and there was maybe around 30 people. We spent as much time as we wanted looking around and taking photos with no one in our way. We did wait about 2 minutes for our turn on the ledge but that was it. Staff was friendly and the whole experience was super cool! The displays at the bottom were very well done and informative and the elevator ride both up and down were awesome and smooth. We had to pop our ears several times too. The views from the top at night were spectacular!

An unforgettable 5 star experience from beginning to end having an exclusive dinner to 2 on aThursday Night “Pie In The Sky” VIP Dinner at the SkyDeck Chicago for $125/person and worth every penny. Top notch customer service provided from the reservation experience over the phone with Andres Carino who was very responsive and explained all the dining options through multiple charges and each time he was understanding and accommodating. For this price it includes entrance fee + your meal. A steal!! First off we had reservations for the 103rd floor at 9:30pm, which are a must as availability goes fast and are required 3 days in advance. For this special occasion dinner you are seated at a private table for 2 dining directly by the edge for a thrilling panoramic view experience for 1.5 hours (although you are not rushed) as we stayed a little longer to walk the entire deck and captured the incredible total view experience. Our server Gerard was exceptional who went above and beyond with 5+ ⭐️ service. We felt like we were at a Michelin rated restaurant. For the meal you get a Heart Shaped Chicago Style 6 slice deep dish pizza 🍕 which is finger licking good. It comes with your choice of 4 types of salad, soft drink of choice, with beer and wine optional for purchase, choice of 2 desserts, chocolate cake (divine) or a cannoli. Choose up to 4 toppings from a wide variety of options like meatballs, anchovies, pineapple, BBQ Chicken, Bacon, Mushrooms, Onions, Garlic, Black Olives, Sausage, Tomatoes, Salami, Pepperoni or Green Peppers. What’s particularly amazing about this experience is once you arrive, you are personally escorted up to your private dining experience along with any other guests with reservations. The entire 103rd floor is yours for viewing at your leisure which is a stark contrast to regular admission where you have a 20-30 minute window for the deck experience with a line of folks behind you waiting their turn. There is also an app you can download to get discounted indoor parking that’s literally a few steps from the building entrance. Too bad you can only give 5 ⭐️ as this would have been worth 10. This experience is highly recommended and worth visiting again next time we are visiting the Windy City. Cheers 🥂 to our next adventure.

This view is amazing but SkyDeck’s website has to be the worst, most inaccurate, buggiest piece of garbage I have ever used. We spent 40 minutes unsuccessfully trying to buy timed tickets and got completely false info on availability, times, and checkout options repeatedly. At least ten times, our payment failed, we got an HTML error, or we are told there was no availability AFTER WE ALREADY HAD TICKETS IN OUR CART. They have no phone purchase option on weekends. If these clowns can spend millions on marketing their building but can’t even provide a functional website, they’re not worth your time. Go to the Hancock or any number of other views run by professionals instead.

It was an experience for sure! It was scary not gonna lie. I only touched a foot on the ledge. The thing that sucked was we only get 90 seconds and the family with us wanted the space to take their pictures. So we didn’t get to get pics. IT WAS A BUMMER! We had to step out if the way so the grandma could lay down the whole section and get a pic for herself. One of them was super scared to go on the ledge so we had to wait for them to be scared and pulled over to the ledge. So that took away from the 90 seconds. All we were told was to go back into line because we could do that as many times as we want but we were on a deadline and had to leave. The whole downstairs set up like a museum exhibit was nice. Good history of Chicago. The elevator ride to the ledge was super cool when all the sides of the elevator turn into a tv. Just be aware not everyone is polite and lets you get your pics.

Visiting the Skydeck Chicago at Willis Tower was a really cool experience overall. The views of Chicago are absolutely gorgeous and definitely the highlight. Being able to see the city and Lake Michigan from that height is pretty incredible, and it’s easy to spend time just looking out over everything. The main downside for me was the price. It felt pretty outrageous for what you get, especially since the experience itself doesn’t take that long. I was also a little disappointed that they time you when you step into the glass boxes (The Ledge). I understand they need to keep the line moving, but it makes the moment feel rushed when you’re trying to take it all in and get a photo. That said, the views alone make it worth doing at least once if you’re visiting the city. It’s a classic Chicago experience, just be prepared for the high ticket price and a quick turn in the glass box.
