Location is great! There's a parking lot below the hotel deck parking that is cheaper than the hotel(limited) parking. Security feature that surprised me was that you used your key card to enter the building during certsin hours as well as to use the elevators. The room was clean. It has a fridge but no microwave FYI. An interesting amenity is a water dispenser with filtered hot and cold water near the elevator. The hotel itself is great, outside noise was somewhat bothersome. Overall I would stay here again if I was visiting for another concert at Credit Union 1 Arena.

We spent two nights here on a weekend and absolutely will return again! This is an affordable, clean, and extremely comfortable hotel in a safe spot with amazing breakfast and lunch places on the same block (shoutouts to Ahuevo! and Himalayan!). We were just there to see the city and the location couldn't have been better for us. Easy to get to, easy and cheap to park in the adjacent lot. Cons are minimal: the rooms are not as spacious as others, and the bathroom in my room was small. Pros are huge: location, location, location! Willis tower literally towers over the hotel making this the perfect staging point for a weekender in Chicago! Super friendly staff, lovely clean room, perfect location, truly a wonderful stay. Thank you so much!

Unimpressed with both the staff and the room. A guest forgot her room card and was ringing the buzzer to be let in. Staff did not let her in. She entered with our group and another guest. When we were waiting for the elevator the security guard decided to come out to berate the entire group. So she heard the buzzer but couldn’t let the guest in??? Could only come out to yell? Yeah never again. Paid good money for someone to treat guests rude. Power trip for real.

The rooms were good, the bathroom was extremely small. There is no auto on the thermostat so its on all the time and very loud. I appreciate the water refil station by the ice machine. The breakfast area attendant was fantastic, the breakfast area is way to small for the size of the hotel. And parking is $65 a night.. ofda. We choose to leave our vehicle downtown at the convention center and lyft back and forth.

My friend and I checked into the Holiday Inn at 506 W. Harrison on Friday, March 27. From the start, we’ve had nothing but problems. We booked a “Standard Room with Double Beds” on Booking.com, but when we called the hotel (on the morning of our check-in to inquire about our stay), we learned that we would ACTUALLY be given a room with only one bed. Andy (literally the only shining light in this mess of an experience) attempted to find us a room with a double bed, but unfortunately he was unable to. He did try his best. Fast forward to Sunday… we returned to the hotel at 11:30pm on Sunday, March 29 to find a COCKROACH on the floor of our room, just a couple feet away from the door. On top of this, I noted that our bed was unmade, and the bathroom towels weren’t replaced - showing me that the room wasn’t cleaned/checked up on today. This all leads me to believe that the hotel isn’t keeping up with their cleanliness. We immediately went downstairs to the front desk to report the cockroach issue. After sharing our problem, we were told that the employee couldn’t do anything to resolve our issue because she isn’t a manager. We were told that we’d have to wait until the morning to speak to management. The only thing we were offered was a free breakfast, which we declined. That offer was honestly laughable. We then reached out to IHG customer service and shared our issue with a representative. We were told that because we’re still on site and haven’t checked out of the hotel yet, the corporate team wouldn’t be assisting us - leaving the hotel to have a chance to make the issue right. I replied that I already tried speaking to the front desk employee and was offered no reasonable resolution (free breakfast was a wild offer - I was hoping for a room change or compensation). The customer service representative just kept reiterating that our case would be escalated to management. Then, I asked in the meantime if I’d be expected to sleep in a room that just had a COCKROACH in it. The customer service representative then told me to hold while she called the front desk. I waited on hold for approximately 5 minutes before I got HUNG UP ON. I called IHG customer service again and when being transferred to a representative, the phone started ringing but then went silent. I couldn’t hear any person on the other end of the line. I called one more time and had the same result. I could hear ringing, but then the line went quiet and nobody spoke to me. Currently (very early in the morning on Monday, March 30), IHG customer service hasn’t called me back (I gave her my direct cell number). This is a COMPLETE failure on the part of the Holiday Inn and IHG. I’m a customer service employee myself, and I would be ashamed of myself if I offered the level of service provided by these employees. ———————————————— UPDATE: As of 9:00am on Monday, March 30, we were contacted by Maya (hotel management), and she seemed to blame the cockroach incident on construction outside as well as their restaurant being ventilated. She noted that cockroaches (yes, plural) are only showing up on the second floor (our floor). She then offered us a 50% refund on our stay. We accepted their offer but still feel disappointed by our entire stay and the quality of guest support we received. We will not be staying with Holiday Inn again. ———————————————— UPDATE: Around 3:45pm on Monday, March 30, Maya called my friend who booked the reservation. She had a passive aggressive tone and REPEATEDLY stated she didn’t blame this cockroach incident on nearby construction and restaurant updates. During this call, she did not provide any type of additional resolution. Therefore, it seems that she only called my friend to insist that our review wasn’t accurate in her eyes. (Even though I said that it SEEMED like she blamed this situation on construction and the restaurant being ventilated. That is how your statement was PERCEIVED based on the way YOU communicated it to us.) Does this harassing behavior sound like appropriate conduct from a manager? Not to me.
