Truly exceptional! The staff was extremely accommodating upon arrival. We had our luggage delivered to the room and one of the workers came back with a teddy bear for my daughter. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard which makes unloading easy amidst the busy city streets. The location is excellent and walkable to numerous restaurants and shops. There is also a Walgreens right across the street. As a Diamond member I was able to use the spa amenities without charge. They also offered complimentary rides to locations less than 1 mile. I’ll be back to check out the speakeasy as I ran out of time!

I booked a room on Waldorf's own website and received an email I qualified to be in line for a room upgrade for an extra $38. The email did not guarantee the upgrade and I understood this. I checked in and asked about the upgrade and was told I got the upgraded room. However, the room was not yet ready but I could get a larger room for an extra $200 right away. Due to the pressure of having to wait an extra hour or two and I just wanted to check-in, I agreed. I realized later I got played by this company. Never again will I use any Hilton hotels anywhere.
This was not all, my sister and I were cold the whole night. I gave my sister the room with the King sized bed because she has stage 4 cancer. I stayed in the living room using a pull-out bed. There must have been an issue with temperature control because the temperature stayed at 71 degrees even though I wanted it higher but it would not go up higher.
The fireplace turned off every so often and before it could be turned back on, it had to rest for about half an hour at a time.
The pull-out bed was so uncomfortable that I cold not sleep well at all. I slept two months ago in a mother hotel on a pull-out bed and it was comfortable.
We will not be using any Hilton hotel again. On our second night in Chicago, we stayed at the Ritz and it was heavenly.

Not a 5 star experience. Rooms are very overpriced. My friend’s room had carpet stains and the window was permanently locked. I also was not told that my room would be facing another building so I was looking directly into a condo and had to keep my blinds shut. All 4 front desk staff I interacted with were not friendly or accommodating. Property should also be offering a welcome amenity for the prices. The pool is very small and is basically only usable for one person swimming laps. They do not let guests use the hot tub in the spa (crazy). Restaurant for dinner needs improved service (very slow, not cleaning plates off the table, forgetting items). Breakfast food and team were great. I will say that the bell staff team was very friendly, professional, and accommodating. Shout out to Guillermo!

Wow!! What a special experience getting to stay at the Waldorf Chicago. They truly make it your stay feel magical and elevated. Everything was seamless from booking to checkout. A big thank you to Courtney and Silvia for helping set up our accommodations for a beautiful room with a view and fireplace. We were greeted by Mia at the front who checked us in with a smile and held our bags until our room was ready. While we waited for our room Frankie made excellent cocktails, we enjoyed some delicious nuts, and deviled eggs at Brass Tack and ended the night at their cozy cocktail lounge Bernard’s. My only complaint is I wish we could stay longer! Can’t wait to come back to experience the unwavering magic and service the Waldorf Chicago has to offer.

My stay at the Waldorf Astoria in Chicago was nothing short of extraordinary and has completely redefined my understanding of luxury hospitality. I have stayed in many high-end hotels around the world, but this experience stands above all others.
From the very beginning, the service was impeccable. I was generously given a complimentary room upgrade, which immediately set the tone for an unforgettable stay. On top of that, I was surprised with complimentary champagne and beautifully presented sweets, an elegant and thoughtful gesture that made me feel genuinely valued as a guest.
The concierge team deserves exceptional praise. Loyan Micheriz and Judson Corrie were absolutely phenomenal. Their professionalism, attention to detail, warmth, and ability to anticipate needs were beyond anything I’ve experienced before. They didn’t just assist—they elevated the entire stay with their care and precision. This level of concierge service is extremely rare and truly world-class.
The reception team was equally outstanding. Check-in and every interaction afterward were smooth, welcoming, and highly professional. Everything was handled with grace, efficiency, and genuine hospitality.
I also want to sincerely commend the room service staff, especially the wonderful lady who assisted me. Her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail were exceptional and deeply appreciated. Every request was fulfilled flawlessly and with a warm smile.
The room itself was immaculate—spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The level of cleanliness and attention to detail was beyond perfect. Everything felt fresh, refined, and thoughtfully prepared.
To put this experience into perspective, I have stayed at iconic luxury properties such as Burj Al Arab and Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok. This experience surpassed them both in terms of service quality, personalization, and consistency. It is also far superior to any hotel I have stayed at in the United States.
This is not a 5-star hotel—it is a 10-star experience.
Every detail, from service to cleanliness to hospitality, was executed with absolute perfection. Without question, this was the best hotel experience of my life, and I will absolutely return.
My sincere thanks to the entire team for creating such a flawless and unforgettable stay.
