Hotel in a GREAT location on River North. LOVED our view of the river and the city lights. The beds and room comfortable. It is a cool hotel with a family vibe. Definitely will see if it is available on my next trip and look forward to staying there again.
Specially want to shout out to Alonzo who helped us with some hiccups in our check in. He took care of us and worked everything out explaining next steps. Amazing customer service, not only from him but everyone very gracious.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff are really friendly and courteous. My room was clean and smelled great. If there's an issue, they'll resolve it. And the candy you receive at check-in is delicious 😊

Great location. Nice staff. The only complaints that I have is that the bathroom sink took an extremely long time to drain. And I think we had a toilet for little people. Because my sister's room had an average size toilet. I felt like I was sitting on the ground. Also, for some odd reason the hotel smelled like dead rats today. Overwhelming smell. And the parking is crazy! $62.00 a day to park! And lastly, the pool was freezing. 03.09.2026.

- Amazing customer service. This honestly made the entire stay for me, so please thank your staff. Juan specifically, part of the wait staff, was so personable, friendly, and accommodating that it reminded me of my stays in 5-star resort hotels. I dined for breakfast and dinner almost everyday during my stay and was honestly blown away by how taken care of I felt.
- I really loved the filtered water stations scattered throughout the hotel and the room coming with carafes and glasses. Used it constantly!
- Loved the sauna and 24 hour shop/cafe. The hotel restaurant has good food and okay prices.
- Comfy beds, good coffee, clean rooms, good location, good breakfast buffet, felt comfortable and safe.
Dislikes
- Some things were underwhelming/ broken that were advertised in their website.
- For example, the Peloton bike in their gym is broken and unusable even though it’s mentioned endlessly in their amenity highlights.
- The pool is a joke and pretty gross. Plus, the “heated” advertisement is a lie. It was freezing. I went down there to swim and quickly left before I got a UTI. I passed a large clump of hair while walking out.
- Things in the room were broken like the steamer and the coffee machine. I heard other guests complain about the steamer too. This was frustrating because myself, and many other people are staying in this hotel for work, and need a reliable iron/steamer.

There's a couple things that are just terrible about this hotel. The room itself is fine but everything else sucks.
First of all, the check-in process is always slow. They don't account for peak times so there's usually one person at the desk taking care of everyone checking in. They almost always send you to the 15th floor to check in as well, only to find out that the 15th floor is empty and there's no one to check you in there either.
The other piece of feedback I have is the amenities. The lotion they have in the bathroom is the worst quality. For those of us traveling from outside of Chicago - Chicago is a really cold place and it dries your skin if you're not from here. So moisturizer becomes even more important. And of course Voco has the worst moisturizer, period. It's basically watered down body moisturizer. Just goes to show they're using the cheapest products for their guests.
The other piece is the wifi. The wifi basically doesn't work in this building. It's constantly shutting on and off, so it's really unreliable. And then the television - because the wifi is horrible, the television also usually doesn't work or it comes on and off with bad signal.
Overall, I stay here because I have to for work. Otherwise, this is a pretty bad hotel.
