We had a nice stay over New Year's Eve. The beds were very comfortable. The decor in the room created a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. It was pretty busy due to the holiday, but the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Because of our IHG status, we were proactively upgraded to a room on a higher floor. The view was great. Be advised, however, that there isn't street parking in the area. The closest parking structure is around $61/night, so plan accordingly.

Recently just checked out on the 3rd instead of the 4th due to lack of communication with the hotel
staff. The issue at hand is the shower door did not have a bottom seal .In which caused the bathroom to have water on the ceramic flooring.Maintenance suggested that we move to another room we accepted the suggestion. The next night without any notice from management or staff proceeding to authorize charge of $ 332.00. When speaking with front desk clerks to ask why the first time they stated damage to
Your bathroom again I ask how when the floor is ceramic and water did not go into room. They proceed to tell me” it’s nothing we could do you will have to wait until your checkout date to speak with management.” Spoke with IHG to open a case for clarification as to the next step. Guest services said to wait 24hrs to speak with someone at the hotel considering they are just partners of voco and they can not intervene. 24hrs passed Monday I called to speak with the assistant manager clou could not leave a voicemail and she failed to even return my call or even speak with me but continued to charge my card.

I stayed for New Years. I told them I wanted to book a room to where I could see the fireworks. They suggested the “skyline view” suite. The fireworks were happening on the other side of the building and I couldn’t see anything. However it was within walking distance. The TV in the suite kept glitching and when the air came on it was pretty loud & hard to ignore. It was a bit complicated finding our suite and to make things longer there was only one working elevator. It was okay for the night but I wouldn’t stay here again.

I had a great stay at Voco by the River Walk in Chicago. The room was clean and met my expectations for a hotel stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and they kindly offered complimentary luggage storage after checkout since my flight was later in the day. Overall, I was impressed with the service. The downtown views from this location were absolutely spectacular.

The room itself waa fine except during our trip until the last day the hot water was out in our shower. We also asked for more towels and toilet paper and that never came, thankfully I snagged some from a housekeeper. I’ve stayed here before and overall it is a good hotel for the price if everything goes right. The location itself is a mile or more from most things, so longer walks or ubering are advised. We still had a good time and would come back here again, but more so for 1-2 nights instead of 3-4. This location is great if you are here for a specific thing or event.
