Chicago skyline is legendary. It's not a surprise given that this city produced some of the greatest architects of the 20th century: Dunham and Root, Adler and Sullivan, among others. If you're interested in fully appreciating this amazing metropolis there's no better place than to go than skydeck Chicago.

We visited the Skydeck totally spontaneously on a Saturday night and had such a great experience! We were originally going to buy tickets at the self-checkout kiosk, but the prices were pretty high, so I checked online and found a much better deal through Tripster. The tickets were emailed instantly and we walked right in with the barcodes. Before reaching the ledge, you go through a really well-done museum with interactive displays about Chicago’s history, architecture, and the Willis Tower. It definitely adds to the whole experience. Once you get to the Skydeck, the line looks long but moves quickly and efficiently. We actually got to go out on the ledge multiple times and take plenty of photos. They take one professional photo from above, then you get 90 seconds to take your own. At the end, all the photos taken of you get uploaded to a card they give you, and you can download a few digital postcards for free. Even though it was raining the night we went, the views were still breathtaking. It’s a little pricey, but honestly worth it — it’s not something you do every day, and the views alone make it memorable. We’d love to come back on a clear day to get more pictures together. Highly recommend for both locals and visitors!

Skydeck Chicago was insane. The views are unreal, the whole city, the lake, everything straight out in front of you. And standing on that glass ledge? Wild. You’re literally looking straight down 1,300 feet. Super cool experience, staff was solid, and the pics come out crazy good. If you want the best view of Chicago, this is the spot. I’d go again for sure.

Being from Chicago, my buddy and I were just looking for something to do. I was driving, he had his camera doing street photography, and on a whim we said, “Let’s hit the Skydeck.” Honestly, the best time to do anything in the city is during the week while the kids are in school. No line, no chaos, no stress trying to park, just walk in and enjoy. The weather was clear, visibility was clean, and the city looked unreal from up there. We cracked jokes, talked life, took our time, and just enjoyed the moment. Sometimes the simple, unplanned days end up being the best ones. All around, solid experience. Would definitely go again, especially on a weekday. 👌🏽
