Review, Toronto to Chicago, 4 night stay, Super.com, Couple, Standard King, Breakfast Included. Decent hotel, a solid 3 star. Definitely not a 4 star hotel though. The room had a coffee machine, ice bucket, mini fridge, combo lock safe, ironing board, iron, 4 or 5 hangers, a TV with a USB port and a remote with a input button so you can play your own media...and that's about it. No microwave, no robes, no kettle, despite anticipating those items based off their website. Horrible view, a view of a concrete wall so aero view of anything. Wall sockets are loose as hell so my wall block next to the bed just fell right out...I'd bring a 10 foot cable if you own one. Their body wash/shampoo/conditioner are all Dove brand and installed into the wall so you can move them, the squirt bottles are part of the wall so if you want a free bar of soap, bring one. There's two low boy pull out drawers, and one low shelf above it, and a rod with a couple of hangers...so not much storage space for unpacking. If you're a couple, one person might unpack and one person might just live out of their suitcase. We didn't request turn over service once so I can't speak to housecleaning. The king size bed and pillows were comfortable and the towel supply was adequate for 4 days. I would 100 percent get breakfast included in your stay, as they're not a lot of restaurants or diners/cafes around this part of downtown, and their breakfast buffet price is not worth it. Their buffet is decent, but definitely not worth $22 USD per person, if I paid $60 CAD plus tax and tip for their breakfast at a restaurant I'd be pissed and feel ripped off. Scrambled eggs, taters, turkey sausages, waffles or pancakes, bacon, x2 toasters with bread, bagels, English muffins, a small oatmeal station...that's basically the only real diner breakfast/hot options. Everything else is cold salad bar options like fruit, yogurt...milk to go which is nice...pastries. Pretty basic. Their drip coffee is very good, and they offer you juice when you sit down vs. having a juice station in the buffet. And they ask for your breakfast vouchers and the poor souls who didn't get breakfast included have to pay up and tip! Don't be one of those people, save your money. Chicago is a crazy expensive city where even visiting a museum costs $80 CAD for two people so budget accordingly as much as possible. As for the restaurant/bar it's....not good IMO. I had the overpriced flat bread pizza, it was extremely mediocre, and my partner had the mini hot dogs (standard American diet at its finest) and they were surprisingly good in comparison. The local draft beer, Pilsner was very good and the cocktails...I wouldn't risk it. They're overpriced and you're better off going to the Drake (a classic hotel bar from the 30s with character) and ordering a cocktail from a bartender who's been slinging drinks longer than you've been alive. Besides that, there's a pool, sauna, which we never went to cuz we were cramming to see everything which was somewhat exhausting and ultimately impossible. Feel free to spend more time at this hotel than we did. Moving on. The hotel was clean, quiet, the room was clean, basic, modern...solid 3 star room. No complaints. A robe would have been nice though lol. We paid around $650ish CAD for 4 nights, Super.com was by far the cheapest. If you wanna stay at a cool/historic hotel - Chicago Athletic Association, Palmer House, London House, The Drake - you're gonna be paying closer to $900-1200 for 4 nights. We opted to stay here but visit those hotels as tourist attractions and give them our money for food and beverage....no regrets there.
