If I could give this hotel a negative reading, that’s what I would do our hotel smell like marijuana due to someone smoking next to us and rather than understanding that we had an infant that cannot be moved. The hotel had offered us a solution of packing up everything and moving, however that’s not really an option when you have a baby that has supplies and all of their stuff in the room we also had offered security to come to our room and smell the level of marijuana that we were experiencing in our room. We never heard anything we would recommend avoiding this hotel, especially because management also had given us the option of just spraying our room so it would smell less like marijuana, which is really not a viable solution when you have an infant.

Overall, this hotel is a great option if you’re looking to stay downtown along the Magnificent Mile.
The only issue I had with staying here was the musty smell in the hotel room, however while noticeable, it did not overwhelm the space.
My room was on the 25th floor and offered a panoramic view of the surrounding skyscrapers and Lake Michigan. It was truly breathtaking. Along with the views, the room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The room also contained updates for a more modern feel, including very comfortable furniture.
The service was friendly, and staff were very attentive.
While it is expensive, I would HIGHLY recommend spending the extra 84 or so dollars for the valet parking service. Doing this will save you the trouble (and headache) of finding parking downtown.
The location is perfect. You are 1 or 2 blocks from the heart of the N Michigan Avenue shopping and dining experiences. This is close enough to offer a very enjoyable walk in the city, but far enough off the main strip to avoid some of the congestion and chaos.
Overall, this hotel should be a top pick when selecting accommodations downtown Chicago near the Magnificent Mile!
Okay inn. Only a few minutes walk from the iconic 360 CHICAGO building (once the second tallest in the world!). Hotel rooms were okay. The floor seemed a little rough. Moreover the hot water valve of our faucet was broken and the shower didn't use hot water unless I turned it on for ~15 min. Wifi is also really slow. If you're going to use that go somewhere else.
Parking was inconvenient. There's no place to park up front and the only official lot dedicated to the inn was in the John Hancock Building. Then again, the building is close enough to the inn.
Other than that, everything else was good enough!
This is an excellent location, and I truly wanted to give this property a five-star rating based on the friendly housekeepers and its convenient proximity to everything downtown Chicago has to offer.
Unfortunately, our overall experience was significantly impacted by the behavior of a bartender named Alex. I don’t typically call out staff by name, but his conduct warrants mention. He blatantly ignored our entire party and displayed what felt like subtle but undeniable racial bias. This was especially upsetting given that we had paid for a week-long stay over Christmas, booked three rooms, valet parking, and additional services.
Experiencing such treatment on Christmas Eve was incredibly disappointing. His attitude was unwelcoming and unprofessional. Additionally, the front desk staff came across as dismissive and rude, which further detracted from our stay.
When a family is spending thousands of dollars during the holiday season and arriving in good spirits, there is no justification for being treated poorly. This property has so much potential, but guest experience? Particularly respect and hospitality, should be a priority across all staff interactions.
This hotel may be iconic, and may have 4 star reviews, however I strongly feel that rating needs to be revised. It started with not finding a $1,300 reservation, and having to settle for 2 rooms on very different floors with very different(downgraded) views. Of course, no refund was given for the downgrade. It then advanced to
*no parking for guests as advertised
*No working fridge in EITHER ROOM which costed a $1,000 medicine to go bad
*No microwave anywhere but the lobby
* no vending machines
*dirty carpeting in the rooms
*No luggage carts with the exception of using THEIR BELLBOY who of course wants an exhorbitant tip
During a paid for buffet breakfast, the server made accusations IN FRONT OF OTHER DINERS of us stealing food, despite permission given for taking food upstairs for the 3 other occupants who were still sleeping. Then the hostess scrutinized the buffet ticket because it was crossed off and written as "7" instead of 6, all completed by the reception desk instead of giving us a correct/new buffet ticket. Folks, you get better peace of mind, better food, quality customer service and less headaches from hotels half this price. STAY VERY MUCH AT YOUR OWN RISK of loss of money, loss of peace and loss of marriage. This place is horrid, and I only wish it on the drunk people that stay here!!
