how many four star hotels do not have room service? This is the first for me! room is small, service was mediocre. This is the 45th night in a hilton hotel that i've stayed in this year(2025), and I will say for what I paid, It is definitely not worth it! bathroom had mold and rust on the fixtures , carpet was stained , and windows were stuck shut. By far the biggest disappointment this year in Hilton Hotel. I would not recommend coming here . Go to the Marriott or the Sheridan if you're gonna stay in Chicago. It may be old and nostalgic, but this place is highly overrated.

For our first visit to the Hilton Chicago, we were absolutely beyond impressed with the service of the staff and the quality of the hotel. Every single staffer was friendly and seemed genuinely happy to help. From Robert checking us in at the front desk and getting us an amazing room, Germain keeping our drinks filled in the bar at the fireplace to the wonderful doorman (I missed his name sadly) securing us a cab back to the airport and everyone else we had the pleasure of chatting with through our stay. We will overlook a lot on a vacation but the level of customer service at the Hilton Chicago is the benchmark that we will be using as the measurement going forward! We can't wait to come back for another visit!!

I wanted to leave a special thank you to Hannah at the front desk🙏🏻
She honestly made my stay so much better and turned my birthday weekend into something really special 🥰
When I checked in the first time, the room I got didn’t have the view I hoped for. I came back downstairs and asked if there was any chance I could wake up to a view of Lake Michigan on my Birthday morning.
Hannah was so kind and understanding. She didn’t rush me, she really listened. She found a beautiful room with three windows and a great view, exactly what I wanted!!
I also mentioned that I wasn’t sure how to turn on the lights in the previous room.
And she took care of that immediately.
By the time I got to the new room, the lights were already on. It was such a small thing, but it made me feel so welcomed and taken care of 🤗
Hannah was professional, warm, and genuinely helpful ✨
Hilton is lucky to have her, and I really hope she gets recognized for the way she treats guests.
Thank you for making my stay wonderful ✨

Overall an amazing stay at this Hilton location! Robert at the front desk was so helpful and he got us checked in early. He even got us a room that was on a higher floor and a second bathroom!! Big shoutout and thank you to Robert :) It was great and the room had beautiful views of the lake + very spacious.
Gym wasn’t included with the package we purchased but $18/day. But if you want to workout, the amenities are really nice (even barbells and platform) and a mini indoor track. You have access for full day if you pay.
My friends and I enjoy walking so the 1 mile walk to the bean wasn’t bad at all! About 20 minutes and the water side is so pretty! It’s just a straight walk and not hard to navigate.
Everyone was very kind, from security to reception! Thank you for a great stay here in Chicago! Will come again :)

I’ve never written a review like this before, but what happened at the Hilton Hotel in Chicago was outright ridiculous.
We had booked two nights at this hotel. Due to a hurricane, our flight was cancelled and we were unable to arrive until the second night of our reservation — a situation entirely beyond our control. When we finally arrived, exhausted and grateful just to have made it to the city, we were told by the front desk that our room had been cancelled and given away.
No empathy. No assistance. No alternative accommodation. And no refund.
Instead, we were met with shocking indifference and outright hostility from a staff member named Jeffrey, whose behavior was rude, patronizing, and condescending. His attitude made an already stressful situation infinitely worse. Rather than helping two stranded guests affected by a natural disaster, he seemed to take pleasure in being dismissive and unhelpful.
We were left stranded in Chicago with nowhere to sleep — all because Hilton failed to uphold even the most basic standards of decency or hospitality.
For a brand that claims to represent comfort, reliability, and care, this experience was the exact opposite. Hilton should be ashamed to have employees who treat guests with such contempt. That being said, certain members of the front desk were very kind and empathetic, but the situation seemed to be above their pay grade.
If you’re considering staying at the Hilton Chicago — don’t. There are plenty of hotels in this city that actually understand the meaning of customer service.
