The tea service at Four Seasons was disappointing in my opinion. The serving room was in their open cafe area which didn't feel very cozy, it was just ok. The food was pre portioned on a plate and although we were the first seating, the sandwiches tasted slightly stale and soggy. Each person received their plate instead of all the food served on the tiered platter. The scones and biscuits were served on the tiered platter. The service felt rushed although it wasn't full. When we asked to change out teas the server said he was occupied but that he would try to accommodate. The gratuity was included. For $116 I had a higher expectation of a nicer setting, better quality food offering, and better service and follow up. Would not recommend.

Spent the last few nights at the Four Seasons with my family on a little getaway before Christmas break ended.
Sadly more cons than pros on the trip which led to this review.
Cons:
1. We have a young family and had a stroller. It’s surprising that a luxury hotel doesn’t hold the door open and get the door for you. No matter how many times we went and came back only once was the door held open. That’s probably 5star hotel service model number 1 that should be done.
2. The pool picture on the site doesn’t match the actual pool. The current pool seems much smaller than the photo and the hot tub is in a total different configuration which should be updated online.
3. The room is very very basic. We stayed in an executive suite that is in the need of a major remodel. The shower was tiny and the shower head was worse than a holiday inn. These basic things need replaced.
4. Dining for breakfast - service was very poor. We had to get up and go to the bar several times just to get more coffee, more syrup, extra napkins. Btw we were the only people in the dining room.
5. They offer a kids scavenger hunt which should
Be fun. The front desk was clueless and didn’t even really interact with the kids. It felt very cold as if kids were not welcome at the hotel.
6. Ambiance in the lobby is cold. There’s no soft music playing - felt very stuffy.
Pros:
1. Housekeeping was very good. They were immediate on any needs we had and had a caring heart.
2. The locker rooms were nice with a sauna and steam room that are included with the stay. Nice feature.
Overall:
For the price point there is much better options in the area. We’ve personally stayed at some that really outclasses the Four Seasons on this trip for a similar price but the quality and value is more apparent elsewhere .

I usually love the four seasons and stay in them all over the world! The service at the Chicago four seasons was absolutely terrible!!
I had 3 suites and everyday they forgot to clean one room! I ask repeatable for Diet Coke to be brought to my room and it took 3 times and tipping the concierge to make it happen! The concierge was also bad every time we asked for a service it was never followed through! The valet could find our car 2 separate times and one time took 32 minutes to get our car!(we missed our meeting because of the valet) we went done for breakfast the first morning and they turned us away and said it was 3 hours before they could get us in for breakfast! I hate complaining but I’ve never been to a four season or any hotel chain where the service was even close to this bad!! I don’t understand how a four seasons could have had service this bad! Good luck staying at the Chicago location!

We visit Chicago every year to celebrate my husband’s birthday and always look forward to a relaxing, indulgent weekend. Our tradition is dining at exceptional restaurants and staying at luxury hotels where we can fully enjoy the spa and pool amenities.
Unfortunately, this stay was anything but relaxing. Children were everywhere—far beyond what one would reasonably expect at a luxury property. From the high tea room, to tables next to the bar, to the pool and spa locker rooms, the atmosphere felt chaotic. At times, it genuinely felt more like a Disney resort than a luxury hotel in Chicago.
Compounding the issue, the hotel staff appeared overwhelmed and understaffed across multiple areas, including the restaurant and spa, which further diminished the experience.
Having stayed at Four Seasons properties around the world, this was by far the most disappointing experience. We would not return to this location and do not consider it reflective of the brand’s usual standards.

Just checked out today after a 3 night stay in one of the lakeview executive suites. Upon arrival they sent housekeeping up to make up the sofa bed only to find one side of the pull out bed was bent causing the bed to sink down/have a tilt and be very uncomfortable. The housekeeper said it was just the way it was. It made for a terrible 3 nights sleep for our girls. We have stayed at the Four Seasons before in several different locations and have never had a sofa bed like this and so uncomfortable.
Half way into our stay our room phone stopped working causing us to have to call the front desk anytime we needed room service, bellman, etc.so they could transfer us. We were told someone would come and fix it by two different staff members, but went all day and it was never fixed. The last night there our room didn’t get serviced until 7pm at night, but they didn’t even leave enough towels for the 4 of us and left no washcloths, causing us to have to request more. Don’t expect for the room fridge to get re-stocked at all during your stay. They also ran out of water for the room while we were there. We ate at Adorn one evening and while the restaurant didn’t seem busy with very few tables having people seated, it took well over an hour to get our food once we ordered. The women’s bathroom by the restaurant clearly hadn’t been serviced all day, as there was only toilet paper left in one stall and no hand towels.
While the view from our room was great and the hotel was in a convenient location for us, we will stay at one of the other high end hotels on our next visit to the city. The Four Seasons sure isn’t what it used to be.
