My stay was okay, and the view was great. However, the valet did not come out to assist us, even though they helped other guests. Parking was very confusing and I would rate it a 2/10, as the valet was not helpful. There was an option to either pay immediately or charge parking expenses to the room.
The room did not include a freezer or a microwave, and guests are expected to go to the lobby to heat up food, which was inconvenient.

Room was nice enough. They are very spacious, unlike some hotels in downtown Chicago. The staff was friendly and helpful and actually let us check in at noon instead of the normal 4pm check in time. Some hotels in town refuse to let you check in early so that’s a great perk.
There’s a restaurant and a coffee shop near the lobby which was convenient.
There’s location is perfect for walking in downtown Chicago. Would stay here again.
Edit- during our second day here we were out of bath towels and toilet paper. We went to the front desk twice (as the room phone didn’t work) and requested everything. The third time we called from a cell phone from the room and we finally received the towels and toilet paper. We also had to request housekeeping services for the room, which we did. They never came to the room. The second day experience made me lower my rating.

It was great location to stay in downtown.
Our king bed room was great with a view. The only reason of 4 starts- the bath towel had stains had used cleaning magic sponge. That threw me off a little bit.

This DoubleTree won’t allow you to use the push cart for your luggage. You’re forced to use their concierge service or you can carry all of your luggage up to your room yourself.
Get real, you’re a 3 star hotel not TRUMP towers.
