  Slightly outdated, the rooms need refreshing, and the reception staff are not very helpful. Breakfast is okay. They charge an extra fee for something unclear.

  We love this hotel and I have stayed here a number of times. The staff is so friendly. I feel like I am staying with my best friends. Enter through the beautiful lobby you as you walk in. There’s always plenty of staff to help. The entire bar staff is phenomenal. (Erick is the best!) 🍻 There’s a breakfast area available if needed and since it’s a Doubletree, you always get warm chocolate chip cookies. 🍪 There are plenty of elevators and they’re fast so you can get to your room quickly. The rooms are huge. I mean huge. Comfortable safe clean and of course in downtown Chicago every room has a great view. This hotel is just a few blocks north of the river so within minutes you’re on the Riverwalk and you have access to shopping and restaurants that’s all walkable from this venue. The neighborhood is safe and there’s plenty of parking on site. I can’t say enough about how great this hotel is.

  First time in Chicago, and it was quite amazing, love you city LOVE YOUR GOVERNOR. Thank you to the front desk lady named Danielle, who gave us recommendations and was extremely hospitable.

  We stayed at the Hilton Grand Vacation club which is located at the top 6 floors! There are large 1 bedroom suites so it is nice to have the extra space available. It does not have a kitchenette but a frig and small microwave. You can ask for plates, silverware, and glasses from the restaurant in the lobby ! The people are very nice and helpful! We had some issues with the furnace in the room, which was very noisy , but engineering staff was very fast to come and check it out!

  On September 14th 2024 I had an event that i attended that was going on here and I paid for 24-hour parking ahead of time so I didn't have to worry about it. I guess it was Hispanic Independence Day that weekend and someone thought that it would be funny to take two AK-47's and shoot up in celebration... well that put the whole city of Chicago on lockdown no one could get out of the city except through one exit all of the other exits were heavily blocked off by cops so guess what? everyone that attended the event and had all their cars parked in this parking garage had no idea this was going on and when the event was over it took me 3Hours!!!!.....3HOURS!!! Just to get out of the parking garage by the time it came for me to scan my exit badge I couldn't get through because all the time that the parking garage was backed up took up all of my time on my 24 hour parking I called the front desk asking if they can validate the misunderstanding due to the backup in the parking garage but they wanted me to pay a full $40 for being in there 30 minutes then what I was supposed to be it was either pay $40 or have my car stuck at the gate I think I should have been validated knowing the fact they can see the surveillance of all the cars being backed up it took me another 3 hours just to get out of the city heavy traffic jammed when I approached the police officer at the only exit to get out of the city and ask them what is going on with all this chaoticness that is when he told me the story about the AK-47s and that is how I knew what chaoticness caused the backup in the parking garage
