  We were skeptical at first because of some reviews, but those reviews were very wrong. We were greeted the minute we entered the doors by a very friendly and helpful staff. They even helped with recommending places to eat. Our room was newly remodeled, very comfortable, extremely clean and quiet. The beds were amazingly comfortable. When we went to the breakfast room, the desk staff greeted us with a smile. The breakfast was very good with several offerings of both hot and cold items. The breakfast lady was very friendly too. When we checked out, the desk staff thanked us for choosing Hampton Inn and wished us a safe trip home. We would definitely recommend this Hampton Inn highly. It is a great representation of what as Hilton Loyalty, we have come to expect. Great job, Carbondale.

  Friendly staff and quick check-in (one star given because she was very friendly) -reasonable quality rooms. -nice that there is pool and hot tub - listed. -Fresh cookies at front desk -lobby and breakfast area is nice looking. the above would have resulted in at least 4 star rating. -- but that's where the positives end. hot tub heater is broken Pool was cold Pool area bathroom is being remodeled quite a bit of other remodeling going on throughout hotel. Therefore there extra noise and construction debree everywhere. actually later learned pool area is closed (there is no signage). Something not disclosed at checkin AND not disclosed at booking. Note: 8.5x11 sign added later is no consolation. This hotel was picked for this specific reason -hot tub and pool. To later be treated rudely by the staff saying that area is closed (when there is no signs indicating) is completely unacceptable. Rather, staff should have been apologic and polite. As much as I like Hampton. Everyone should avoid this Hampton, or at the very least call before booking to learn the status of their remodeling projects. Some of the Service and the cleaning staff are in need of new training on proper customer courtesy. The website should be updated to reflect actual hotel conditions. It's categorically false and deceiving to list non-functional amenities. I seek out Hampton over other options, this experience will change that going forward.

  Nice clean hotel rooms, but it is currently being remodeled. So there is a little inconvenience.

  This Hampton Inn has sank to a new low. Remodeling includes NO hot water. Unless you like warm showers. The morning coffee is cold and the toaster doesn't work, no electric. Housekeeping is on your third day and by request only. Avoid this place. Try the Holiday Inn down the street.
