Hotel has been updated and suite room was clean. I would highly recommend they replace the syrupy coffe machine with real drip coffee. It does not taste like good brewed coffee. The coffee pods in the room are better.

There is a restaurant attached to the hotel, which is pretty nice if you want a bite to eat. I'll definitely book again when in town. Go ahead and book!

- AEAmber ElliottOct 6, 20251.0We have stayed here several times on trips/visits to SIU, never a major problem before, minor stuff like room hot, fridge didn’t work, but generally didn’t impact our stay. This time however, as soon as we opened the door the swarm of bugs scattered. We went back downstairs and showed the front desk the pictures of the bugs. Her reply, “oh, ok.” And then proceeded to hand me a room key for another room, directly across the hall. When I asked her how she knew there weren’t bugs in there she replied, “no, it’s okay.” Due to it being family weekend, we had no choice. I went across the street to Walmart and bought a can of raid and sprayed our room from top to bottom. To make matter worse, less than 5 minutes handing back the key we watched another guest walk into that room. Nothing was done to remedy the problem, they just passed the bugs on to someone else. This was always our “go to” for a slightly cheaper option when visiting SIU, but at $150/night, I’ll happily pay another place. We won’t be back.
