What a wonderful experience. Beautiful rooms, wonderful common area, food and drinks. Quite rooms.
BEST PLACE TO STAY AFTER A LONG DAY OF FISHING.
THANK YOU
Della Paine.
Sorry I took your room key card, didn't know it was in my coat pocket. Can mail it back.
We spent last weekend at one of our favorite get away spots. Best Western Lodge at River's Edge. We love this place. Room right next to the river, rooms are very clean and spacious, great environment, and a very good breakfast, but what really makes this place special is the people. They are always so welcoming-like they actually are really happy you are there! They are so helpful-from the front desk, to the maids, to the breakfast help.... We did an extra special event and rented the Igloo for our 38th wedding anniversary. It was fantastic. The Igloo was clean and nicely decorated. But again it was the people. Stefani the host was amazing. The food she prepared was great, but she went above and beyond because it was our anniversary. a small cake (with 38 on the top), specials bottle of cider, and even printed us off a sheet with things that happen the year we got married. If you want to spend some time at a place that really values you-this is a place for you.

The staff was fantastic and friendly. Rooms were nice although our room with a king sized bed had two chairs that were not all that comfortable. Arguably it would have laid out nicer with the bed to one side and chairs/loveseat on the other. The breakfast was good with good hour coverage. Waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, along with cereal, fruit, muffins... Hot tub was good sized for say 6 to 8 to be in at once without being uncomfortable. Nice pool that we didn't use.
Beautiful location right at the junction of the Clearwater River and the Orofino Creek. Rooms are excellent, very clean, well maintained, and the staff is exceptional. Breakfasts are generally good, typical food selection.
The ambience in the hotel is western sportsman, which reflects the environment where the hotel is located.
Internet is great, no strings attached, like larger hotel chains. Speeds are good. Food options are all American, which is typical in the small town west, but there are quite a few options in easy walking distance.
The only issue I ran into this trip was the neighbors. Loud half the night. I think they were having a party over there, it makes it hard to sleep.
There isn't much to do in orofino, the dam, the hatchery, biking, hiking, the museum, if you catch them when they are open. And the usual 'sportsman" activities like fishing, hunting, drinking beer are plentiful. I have found the hotel staff beyond helpful in every case. Frankly a fabulous hotel in every metric I can think of. I personally make it a point to stay here every time I visit. Highly recommended.
