- PAPat AmosFeb 16, 20265.0We spent last weekend at one of our favorite get away spots. Best Western Lodge at River's Edge. We love this place. Room right next to the river, rooms are very clean and spacious, great environment, and a very good breakfast, but what really makes this place special is the people. They are always so welcoming-like they actually are really happy you are there! They are so helpful-from the front desk, to the maids, to the breakfast help.... We did an extra special event and rented the Igloo for our 38th wedding anniversary. It was fantastic. The Igloo was clean and nicely decorated. But again it was the people. Stefani the host was amazing. The food she prepared was great, but she went above and beyond because it was our anniversary. a small cake (with 38 on the top), specials bottle of cider, and even printed us off a sheet with things that happen the year we got married. If you want to spend some time at a place that really values you-this is a place for you.
