I travel frequently, staying in hotels three to four trips a month, and I typically enjoy my stays with Holiday Inn. In fact, I stayed at three different Holiday Inns just this week while on the road. Unfortunately, this particular location was a major disappointment compared to others. I’ve stayed here before and had a positive experience, but this trip was very different. The property is currently a full construction zone with no main entrance, lobby, or amenities available. While I could have looked past the renovation inconvenience, the real issue was that the temporary “front desk” was set up in the hallway directly outside our room. It was impossible to sleep due to the constant noise and traffic. When I asked to move rooms, I was told that the only available rooms were next to this makeshift lobby - still priced at $200 per night. If you’re visiting this area, I highly recommend staying at the Holiday Inn located at 16245 N. Merchant Way in Nampa, ID instead. I’ve stayed there many times in the last 12 months. It’s a far superior property at the same rate and provides the quality experience travelers have come to expect from Holiday Inn.
