  We checked in the evening of Valentine’s Day 2026. The moment we entered the invitingly clean lobby and pantry area the reservations attendant greeted us with a warm, yet professional courtesy. The entire hotel had a pleasantly aromatic ambiance with many amenities - all maintained and presented to the highest standards. The suites were spacious, impeccably clean and welcoming with accommodating extras.

  Candlewood is a great place to stay. I broke my ankle the 2nd day here and had to find a place to recover. I checked numerous extended stay hotels locally and chose Candlewood for several reasons. First and foremost is Charity. She is a gem. She explained how extended stay worked, was able to accommodate a mobility accessible room for me, with a wheelchair available and a shower chair. Candlewood was more expensive than the others, but the others were almost like car salesman and the prices changed from one person to the other. I chose Candlewood because Charity was so easy to talk to, friendly and up front. Additionally, the room was very livable for 2 people. The bedroom has plenty of storage and USB areas. The bed was really comfy and had a TV.. The living room area is plenty of room with a recliner, couch (sleeper) and desk. Easy to access WiFi which was pretty fast. The galley kitchen has a stove top with 2 burners, no oven, full fridge, dishwasher, and a large pantry. Coffeemaker and toaster. The bathroom has hand rails for mobility impaired, a nice, large walk-in shower no step up or over, so very accessible. And a shower chair is available. The shower is pretty low pressure but the water gets hot and doesn't run out. My room was at the end of a LONG hall but there is parking at the end for easier access. Since I had just broken my ankle, this was an ordeal. Be aware they have a wheelchair available to get to your room if needed. However, I suggest they put in a handicapped, wheelchair access to the end where you can park near the room (144) as navigating the curb is difficult! The front lobby area has unlimited coffee! 🥰 And a selection of packaged food items for sell. Chips, cereal, oatmeal, candy etc. There is also a free laundry on site but bring your own detergent. Overall, Candlwood made our stay in Meridian while I healed enough to travel bearable. The staff was amazing and fulfilled all our needs, housecleaning was polite and accommodating, the room was perfect, it was quiet and felt safe, and the location was easy to get into and out of. Final kudos to Charity, the main reason we chose Candlewood over less expensive options. Highly recommend. 💫💫💫💫💫

  This hotel establishment has zero care for the patients at nearby hospitals nor do they care about victims of domestic abuse and assault. As a survivor of domestic abuse, I'm disgusted in this place. I paid full price for our room. Not a problem. I was informed by the front desk that if we needed the room an extra night to inform them before 12pm that next day. We did. The staff proceeded to speak ill about not only myself but my friend I was with! Tried to play sneaky about it too. Not only was it unavailable all the sudden but no discount for any additional nights. Or for having a family member in a nearby hospital from being beaten almost to death by her ex!!!! Do not recommend at all!!!

  WiFi is junk, I ended up having to tether my phone. Maintenance guy was rude. Front desk staff was nice. Floors are nasty, stained and dirty.
