Overall it was a nice clean place and I would have given a 5 star rating if it wasn't for the older burgundy haired lady that was working on my last day here. We came down for breakfast around 8:50 a.m. and I know that it ends at 9:00 but there was an elderly couple there with their daughter and then there was a young woman there with her two children and then me and my two friends and while we are getting our plates together she goes and goes right in front of us and starts locking everything up and pulling everything and throwing it away and I can see if it was just my two friends and I and we were running late so she did that but there was plenty of other people there not only were there many other people there but they were still people showing up and she's just throwing all the food away in front of everybody when she sees that people are still eating and still trying to eat I get that it closes at 9:00 a.m. but if there are still customers there you would think that she would have waited until at least until we got done serving ourselves to start doing her job but no she didn't she threw things away as everybody was trying to serve themselves and she was spraying her cleansing spray well I had my plate sitting right there on the counter she turned off the the juice machine locked up the refrigerator so when we went to go get a cream cheese we couldn't get one because she had it locked when the little girl went to go get some juice she couldn't get them because she had it locked I just think that it's very rude especially when there's plenty of customers there I get that your job is supposed to be done by a certain time but working in the hospitality industry your main goal is to keep your customers happy and wanting them to come back that behavior alone makes me not want to come back here because she was very rude. Also the night before I had gotten my own trash for my room and I took it outside and I wanted to throw it away and I ran into a maid and I asked her where I could throw it away at and she stood there completely confused and tells me I'll throw it in here she wanted me to go throw it into another room which I didn't understand All she had to do was point me to where there was a trash can or let me put it into her trash can but no she had me go put it into another hotel room which I thought was also strange. Other than these two instances we had a very nice day the night stop was very very friendly our rooms were clean it was nice but the behavior of the woman this morning was completely uncalled for and just so rude so very rude not only her behavior but she kept looking at us as we were sitting there eating giving us dirty looks as she's throwing things away and locking everything up as if she was upset that we were still sitting there in the dining room. I guess she doesn't understand that her job and her pay depend on customers like us and if we don't want to come back that's less hours for her and people tend to take other people's advice so word of mouth is a big thing and I will not be telling anybody that I suggest that they stay here just because of the way that we were treated this morning If it hadn't been for that I say would have been perfect and I would have given a five-star review but this lady was so very rude I couldn't believe it.

I have been a diamond member at Wyndham hotels for close to 10 years now. I travel and stay on the road 120 to 150 days a year. I decided to change to IHG at the beginning of the year because the brand has really nice hotels outside of the country and I wanted to take advantage of my hotel points and take my wife over overseas. I came to Boise, Idaho for a television interview, And I wanted to get a place close to the airport and I came across the Garner hotel, close to the Boise airport. I guess it's a new brand from IHG. The room is much more affordable than some of the other Holiday Inn brands inside of the group, So I gave it a shot. I'm so happy and this amplifies the reasons why I've changed over to the IHG brand. This hotel was extremely clean Very helpful the breakfast was good. Overall, I was genuinely impressed.. My flight at 4:40 today to fly out and that's kind of the worst when you have to check out of your hotel early and you have to wait at the airport for four hours. The manager gave me a 2 PM checkout, which was really great disable all that time sitting waiting at the airport. I'm not sure if if the place operates so well because it's IHG Orvis, the genuine and caring customer service that the manager Devon gave me. I Really write reviews, but I was motivated to write a great review for this place. If you're in the Boise area you need a clean hotel and want to feel like the staff is so glad you're there, staff appears to be really happy that you're here stay at thr Gatnerz Good job Devon!! . Us road warriors really appreciate when someone Cares about their job and their customers so thank you, sir!

Im updating my previous 4 star review to 3 stars. At first our only problems were the bed squeaking excessively (even sometimes just with laying still and breathing) and the treadmill not working, but by our last night there were more issues.
Our toilet randomly bubbled up (we hadn’t used it in hours) and flooded our room. It was some sort of sewage issue because a bunch of guests came to the front desk to report the same thing in their rooms. They moved everyone to different rooms, but our new one didn’t have hot water. Maybe the issues were related somehow, but it was unpleasant. On our last morning one of the 2 coffee makers in the lobby broke and there was a line for coffee.
I want to say that the staff was super friendly and helpful, and the hotel amenities and decor were updated and pretty. Too bad so many things were malfunctioning. I travel a lot for work and it’s not unnatural to experience one or two problems with lodging, but boy did these stack up on us.
